I just don’t understand why all politicians seem to be cunts.

I mean it must be a hard job to be under the spotlight but surely the percentage of politicians who haven’t played doggy biscuit, didn’t commit fraud, have t dressed like a baby at a house party and don’t secretly worship Hitler would be higher than it is ?

Dave!

I imagine they’re fairly normal people under intense scrutiny. Have you ever done anything that would get you sacked if you were a politician and it got out? i know i have.

I consider it a poor showing if I don't go a week without doing that.

I've just read that Jacob Rees Mogg has a fucking reality tv show. World's gone mad.
Wonder if he, away from the spolight of politics will appear as a fairly normal person

Is it a TV show to demonstrate to him how the real world works, where pater and mater don't just send 'the staff' down to harrods to pick up dinner, but you have to go to Tesco and....*gasp*....interact with the poors?

It’ll be like the UK version of The Kardashians.

Might start taking back my complaints to Defra as they're improving. Submitted a form to them last night. Got a call 20 mins ago
Bit better than their "10 working days" estimate!

My wife had to deal with the EA through work the other day (she was trying through water company who were beyond useless), she was very quickly able to speak to someone who confirmed that it wasn't their jurisdiction but said they'd send a strongly worded email to the water company to tell them to sort their shit out and deal with it (this had been rumbling on for many months prior). They did, and it woke the water company up and got it sorted within weeks.

See, I always said the public sector was the way forward, full of top people! Maybe @ZedLeg was right all along!

It’s a pretty poor state of affairs when receiving decent customer service is a cause for celebration tbh

Indeed, finding someone who gives enough if a crap to take pride in their work is increasingly challenging. I guess people are trained to believe that if you aren't being paid a few mil to post the odd thing on Insta it's probably not worth bothering with...

That was about the anti monarchist reform people.

Broccers has never had a good point.

I know it’s not really a big deal for anyone in here but Wes Streeting’s puberty blocker ban for gender dysphoria (but not anything else) should be a red flag for snaky politics and ideologically driven health policy making.

I've been periodically refreshing the BBC site to see if they mention anything about the massive farmers protests currently going on in London. Still nothing

Protests are only news if they’re against the status quo.

Are they protesting in support of normal sized farmers?
