The electric motors used don't mind being thrashed from cold. The amount of friction compared to an ICE is tiny.
I think the question is on the ICE?
You can be driving about for 15mins the ICE not being triggered, then you join a motorway slip road and the electrickerybrain asks it to provide full beans.

I’m presuming it has an electric oil pump or Pre-oiler so that the engine is properly lubricated prior to being run.
Modern cylinder Honing is very clever though so I’d guess this has all been very well tested.

Yes, the clue was in the word engine

Dave!
Oh, I’m sure it has been tested a billion times and is fine, just interested from a technical point of view.

Date for return of the car with a heater and a proper roof, February
Can't wait to get it back, it's been away since late October

Got the wrong end of the stick, though actually most of the EV manufacturers still term the electrical motor as the electrical engine.

Some premium manufacturers even name their EV a "TurboS" FFS
Which is a complete shit-show

It would be really cool to supercharge a Turbo S.

Tesla won't allow that.

Well, I don't know if it's a great surprise because JLR, but Lord M really likes the Defender. I do think they're quite cool myself, but obviously wouldn't buy one with my own money.

This just reminded me how awesome Disco4’s are
Also - did I already know the 90 and 110 aren’t? I can’t have known that already. What fucking bollox is this? Like Taycan TurboS like 320 that isn’t a 3-series with a 2.0l, like the C63 with a 6.2 - WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU MARKETING MORONS?

Mik, you know the old Defender 90 had a 93” wheelbase? The numbers just became the names of the short and long wheelbase versions.

I saw one on the street the other day, looked really cool.
Instantly obvious what it was without looking over the top.
Does someone want to tell Harry that 10 isn't an odd number

I must say, the GR Yaris is a car I've changed my mind about. I initially had no desire for one when I saw the pictures and specs but it actually looks like a lot of fun. I'm still not mad on the styling but the engine seems like a weapon. Having had experience of the little 900cc turbo triple in the Smart and how likeable and good sounding it is, I would certainly prefer one in a hatchback to your average 4cyl.

My dad called it an inheritance car which I agreed with once he expanded upon
“That’s the kind of car you buy with someone else’s money and not your own hard earned”

There seem to be a few wealthy guys on twitter in their 50s who are proving that wrong!
I think maybe more accurate to say its bought either by young kids with their parents money because their parents won't buy them something that isn't a hatchback or very wealthy people who already have a couple of other performance cars sat in their 4 car garage.
