Yes I giggled rudely at first too, but there is actually some excellent racing here
I went in expecting it to be a bit silly and quit out after thirty seconds, ended up watching the whole thing and bloody Nora that was good.
Looks like a cheap (comparatively) way to just flat out enjoy competitive racing. And getting practice in for doing the Uber Eats runs

Tiff visits Dallara factory
Engine doesn't sound great of course, but the design is pretty awesome (certainly makes an RXC look pretty ugly). I'll take mine in the green that was on the factory line

If you hadn't posted the first one I would probably have missed it, so thanks for that
How frustrating must it be to get those three together and then have damp/wet weather? I feel gutted for HC, probably the one chance of trying them back to back.

Liked that better than the F1 video, don’t know if it’s just because I’ve seen/read less stuff about the Porsche.

Just realised that 911 GT1 is in fact the first example of a car shitting out a 911. The i8 is merely an imposter.

No worries Hopefully the Merc video will be good as well. The rain must have made it a little nerve racking driving cars like that, but still an amazing opportunity!
Like wise Zed - only really experienced it in Forza, so good to hear a bit more about them.

Can it shit out a 911 if it is a 911.
Looking forward to watching part 2. I always liked the look of the GT1 overall, other than the way the wheels sit in the arches - they give the impression of the little plastic wheels on a toy car - I think because the actual arches are not round/the alloys are so small.
I think the last vid I saw on the GT1 was the vid Tiff did back in the 90s, in 240p

911 or 962 shitting out a 911?

I didn't think a 962 chassis was related to a 991 GT1 chassis was it? May be proved wrong by the vid...
That said, it may still be closer to a 962 than a 996 FWIW.

Talking of the rear of the car.. Just looking at some google images of the Carrera GT next to it, I can't tell if I see some similarities between the two rears, mainly the exhausts and the black shroud that's around them.
The video suggests it's more similar to the 993, but with the 996 front end as added later for the homologation part. It's worth a watch when you get chance.

Yes the genesis of it is very fluid! I preferred the look of the earlier GT1 with the 993 front end. In looking for a pic of that car I even came across the below which has the 993 headlights with livery to make them look like the fried eggs- that must be the only instance of anyone doing it that way round!

The Mercedes must be an animal, I still remember the Tiff video of it in the snow.

One for the E36 compact aficionados (I know there's a few of you on here)
The M compact prototype is I'm guessing whoever in BMW M GmbH designed that ducktail bootlid, later went on to design the one on the CSL.

Yep, I posted a bit about it once before, the first m car with a ducktail and also the first with a quad exhaust, predating the z3m, which itself obviously was very heavily based on the e36 compact floor pan and bulkhead.
