Just realised how suspect that sounds reading it back.

Are you changing your username to ‘some random person’ shortly?

This small incident is now turning into a larger shit show. The next door neighbour who also has access to that camera has now reported “that random person” to the Police (that gate and the access road is owned by my parents, but obviously everyone who has land off it has a right of way, so they all have access to that camera as I thought it’s only fair).
That random person is apparently the husband of the farmer who is leasing the field from the church, and next door neighbour has had a falling out with him over cutting down a tree on their property so is seeking revenge. Honestly
I hope that it’s not all anonymous so the farmer doesn’t assume my family are reporting him…

Just earlier I had 2 people jump the gate into the woods, then start taking pictures of the saw mill, log splitter and saw. I put the Ring siren on and they ran off.
I’m just about to report to the Police online but from reading their form, nothing was stolen, damaged, no one hurt, no evidence left etc. Obviously there’s no crime committed but should I still report it to form a record? Worried in case they come back at a later date.

If you think they were there to plan what to steal which seems likely based on what you've said, I'd report it as a matter of principle. Submit the video evidence to go with it.

Yeah I submitted, because I remembered last time I did this for an actual theft the PCSO recognised one of them and a nearby farm got hit 2 weeks ago so maybe it's the same people.
Their comments on video say "there's log processing equipment, a log trailer" then as they round the corner one of the Ring cameras automatically says "Hi, you're being recorded" and one of them says "they've got cameras" which is when I noticed and hit the siren and they ran out.
My neighbour said he has some mesh to raise the gate height so people can't just jump over which we can fit at the weekend and he'll give me a hand loading the equipment on my trailer to take back home (they weigh hundreds of kg each...).
Honestly it's a fucking ball ache, can't leave anything alone here and then I'm back to the ridiculous situation want to cut a tree to mill?
Drive car and trailer loaded with quad bike to wood.
Return home
Drive car with forestry trailer loaded on trailer and drive to wood.
Return home with logs and to process on sawmill at home.
Drive back to woods to pick up quad bike.
Drive back to woods to pick up forestry trailer.
Make a massive mess processing wood at home.
Spend hours cleaning up.
Etc

At the very least you’ve submitted evidence of trespassing. Not the police will do anything, maybe tell them they drove away at 36mph in a 30?

All the Ring stuff is 40-50% off on Black Friday (ending today) and it's genuinely cheaper than before, they rarely offer a discount this deep. I'm going to buy some stuff while it's cheap for the new place in Suffolk, if it turns out I don't need it free returns in 30 days

Can anyone identify my hooter?
I think it’s too big to be a barn owl. No idea though.

Just reading about Tawny owls. Seems like they can prey on bats so I hope it doesn't go for them because I really like them.
