The bridges and suspended roadways were amazing though.

I was exactly the same.JLv3.0 wrote: Tue Feb 12, 2019 11:12 am It might be worth mentioning at this point that Mikkola was my childhood hero, the Quattro was my favourite car and the 1983 WRC was my favourite thing pretty much ever. That might shed some light on my previous post![]()

Not here. I disliked the Audi's (not the sound) and was a Lancia supporter.DaveE wrote: Sat Feb 16, 2019 6:04 pmI was exactly the same.JLv3.0 wrote: Tue Feb 12, 2019 11:12 am It might be worth mentioning at this point that Mikkola was my childhood hero, the Quattro was my favourite car and the 1983 WRC was my favourite thing pretty much ever. i liked this weeks one - China looks bonkers and I really enjoyed the pace of the more informative bits. though the whole show just drags when they start doing the fake cheesey gags.Simon wrote: Sat Feb 16, 2019 9:46 am A mixed bag this week. Electric car is fast but dull, some of the limo stuff was good, Hammond's death looked real enough.
Not too hard to roll a 3 wheeler onto some grass then cut to a nicely framed rolling off the edge.
Re: Grand Tour Series 3
Anyone else notice the F - UQ plates ?
A lot of bother to agitate the Argentinian debacle again

Re: Grand Tour Series 3
you’re going to love watching Chris Harris base jumping on TG too!
Re: Grand Tour Series 3
Are you suggesting it was just television magic?
I’ll be honest I was very surprised that he didn’t die. It looked like a nasty crash.
I was also surprised to see Monkey in that wing suit. I had no idea he was such an accomplished parachutist. You’d have thought he’d have mentioned that previously.

This week's is making me lust for driving in Scotland again...
11yrs since I've been away but I miss driving those fucking roads.

Scotland is awesome and I miss living up there and driving in the North as often as I can.KiwiDave wrote: Sun Feb 24, 2019 8:59 am This week's is making me lust for driving in Scotland again...

I need to get up there soon with the M140i to scratch the itch. Either solo or with some like minded forum members if I can blag my way onto a roadtrip
Late March, early April always seemed to be the time I had the best weather/quiet road combo up there.
If anyone is planning a jaunt then please let me know

Yep, that looked great. And they didn't faff around needlessly breaking their cars for a change.
And some very sideways BMWs for extra car entertainment goodness.

Did you notice some of the tire smoke was done in ///M logo colours?JonMad wrote: Mon Feb 25, 2019 8:15 am

The Evo forum really is a shadow of its former self. I remember when the internet was for the elite and now they seem to let any spastic on

Didn't surprise me he ended up buying that V6. It must be chicken feed to Mr Clarkson to get it in useable weekend nick
Re: Grand Tour Series 3
Yep - I remember him showing James the service bill for his 600 green-grosser and it being the same cost as a new golf

I've seen up to and including the pickups and think the series thus far is utter crap.
Not seen any of the new TGs as yet - don't see many comments on here either. Will probably watch those I've recorded thus far (think there's two) tomorrow night.

One could be mean and say as they were all old Italian cars they didn’t need to try...JonMad wrote: Mon Feb 25, 2019 8:15 am And they didn't faff around needlessly breaking their cars for a change.
Re: Grand Tour Series 3
I've found this series to be very entertaining and far less forced than previously. Top Gear in comparison just seem to be desperately trying to be them.ShockDiamonds wrote: Thu Feb 28, 2019 12:45 pm I've seen up to and including the pickups and think the series thus far is utter crap.
