Where on earth is that air intake just below the headlight going to
How about not having a sig at all?
Re: Jobbo interior
Rams more air into the top of the wheel arch to increase drag. Helps keep the mpg down in boastworthy single figures.

It's radiators for the headlight ballasts.

Re: Jobbo interior
What was the first car which started the recent trend for angular grilles and lights at the front? I want to say it was the Lambo SUV but that can't be right.
Big grilles I guess were started by Aston before BMW jumped the shark?

For a while I thought you were talking about the poor panel fit.Mito Man wrote: Wed Oct 13, 2021 9:26 am Where on earth is that air intake just below the headlight going to![]()

It now reminds me of a nougat bar, I think that's what has happened.
The car is a 996 C4S in that lovely dark blue colour, which ironically goes well with a light-coloured interior, so the wood really does ruin it. Car looks in mint condition.

Alfa 159 is one of the earliest pointy / aggressive front ends on a normal model I can remember, excluding specially messed around with sporty versions of more bland cars. Was still quite a simple design though unlike the vents on vents on vents thing we have going on now. I don’t think any massively stand out, it’s sort of been an evolutionary thing over the past 10 years or so and they’re all at it now.

Re: Jobbo interior
I'd change a few bits - the wood is nasty and the vents should be the same colour as the surface they're in, but I like it!
Re: Jobbo interior
I’d only change two - the interior, and the exterior.

This! What a ghastly colour scheme. Does the interior come with sun glasses and a health warning?

Makes me think of a late 80's/early 90's kids TV set for some reason.

Re: Jobbo interior
I like the exterior, but the interior is vile. Although I think it’s the beige carpets combined with the wacky colour scheme which offends the most.

Re: Jobbo interior
Exterior colour is fine by me. More crazy than the interior is this;
"Between 2010 and 2014 it underwent a complete restoration by Porsche Classic that costed €446,500. Only 106km have been put on since the restoration, and it has just 135km total. It's for sale for $888,888, which I think is an absolute bargain."

I don't, for once - it's too unremittingly orange so a bit boring. The carbon fibre and grey painted trim on the dash clashes too. Needs some OTT shiny burr walnut
