ETA: someone has done the wheels thing and it looks great:
This is very cool. Probably the nicest in the series.

Very similar to the real bike Chris "Baron Von Grumble" had built.

It appears to be, someone on Reddit who works for Lego has said it’s legit so I’m hoping that not a piss take oh and pricing is rumoured to be £130ish. I just hope that means they’ve shoved a technic V8 into it, as you can see from the photo the front axle appears to have steering, so why not put a V8 in there?

I can't see it having a Technic engine, but it is unusual in having steering so perhaps... Though going back to the old Model Team vehicles, they had steering but no other Technic functions.
Definitely looks legit to me, and the image was apparently found on Lego's own website as a Creator range image which was accidentally made live too early.

Looks set for a March launch so should get confirmation in the coming weeks.

The black wheeltrims don’t stay on the 911 as standard. Not sure exactly how extensively I will need to modify it - I haven’t taken it apart to check yet. But now I have these trims I will find a way!

It did not take much modification - 6p of axle 3L with stud:

Built the McLaren Senna too, since that provided the black 5-spoke wheeltrims to modify the Porsche. I don't much like the Senna as a car but as a Lego model of it, it's impeccable.

There have been a few more pictures of the Mustang including some pictures of boxes. Still no word from Lego on its launch though.
In other news I’ve managed to move the conversation of “you need to put your Lego in the loft” to “can we buy this really nice cabinet and I can put the Lego in there instead”

Ordered the Flintstones set this morning. Nice to see something unexpected and available so soon after being announced, good value and really cool.

Just bought the F40 and Porsche set. I keep having itching fingers to pull the trigger on the Millennium Falcon UCS...

I think I'll put it in next months order too, it's a nice little set and I intend building this one!? Gonna dig out a big green base plate and try to build it up into a better diorama. Think it'd look cool with a stone wall and stuff.

Confirmed for March. £120.

Some very nice details in there too, torsion beam rear axle etc.
I'll be buying that for damn sure.

Considering we've just had a grainy leak of the Mustang so far, the fact that there's a full review on Brickset already means it's been a well-kept secret.
£120 is quite a leap from the Beetle, Mini, Camper etc though. They've been buttering us up with the bus and DB5.
