Interesting. So the questions will be - does the eSIM fall back to 2G if there’s no 3G, and which carrier is it based on ? They’ll all have different dates for 3G shutdown. And 3 never had a 2G network in the first place. Hence their name… they were launched as the first 100% 3G network.

Looks like trackers use GPRS, so 2G or 3G only..

This article talks about it being turned off by 2033, but offers no assistance for systems such as ecall that use 2/3G..

So pretty much every tracker before 2018 will cease to work soon if not already. It reads like 2G is also being pulled along with 3G to make room for the 5G equipment.
I always assumed they run purely off GPS 🤦‍♂️
