Park on the drive, then you can store junk in the garage like everyone else.

Buy one of those cars which you can drive into a parking space with the key fob. Simple.

Gave the e30 a wash for the first time in god knows how long. Even got some polish out to give some of the pink bits a quick once over. Not really worth it as it’s all going to need painting anyway, but makes it look a bit less derelict.
Doesn’t want to start though, can’t hear the fuel pump at all so need to have a bit of a poke about and see what’s going on.

I plan to stick the engine in an e36 compact and park the shell in the front garden as a pretty flowerbed to annoy people
I actually plan on paying someone to sort the bodywork if I can find anyone I can trust who isn’t going to charge a million pounds then double the bill half way through. If I wait to do it myself it’ll still be there in 10 years time

I can’t do anything with it yet anyway, it’s the only thing holding the fence up when it’s windy

A generic BT dongle and Car Scanner app. No codes coming up.
Went to Fleet a couple of times. On way home, at the bottom of the hill just near my road it lost power and is now doing this when trying to start.
No rough running before it cut out.
The sound at the end of the video; that only happened this once.

Have you tried the other key?

Sounds like low / no compression. Cam belt would be my guess. Can you prise the cover back so you can see it and look at it while someone tries to start it to make sure everything is turning?

Bare in mind that’s an internet diagnosis after seeing a few seconds video clip.
But, part of the basics. Have you got fuel, is there a spark, are the spinny bits spinning.

It could be a particularly healthy starter motor but it certainly sounds like it’s not even attempting to start.
