That would be awesome if it did. Reduce congestion and pollution, have a nap and arrive refreshed. It would also solve the EV range anxiety issue. Plug in on the train, fully charged (or near enough) when you arrive at the nearest station and head off to wherever you're going.

I have just emptied the water from the light fitting in the bathroom.

Old houses are great!

Seems an odd place to store water, surely can't hold more than a small glass' worth?

It's a terrible place to store water as the glass bowl under the light fitting filled up and then it just dripped over the floor.

I feel your pain, had to get up three times in the night to catch some drips....2am, 3am and 5am.

I'm shattered today. And have meetings all day. It's going painfully slowly.

apparently there have been deaths up north already.

Had an interesting trip to a meeting in Birmingham and back today. So many roads blocked by flooding round Solihull. Then many blocked on my route back through Warwickshire too. I must have gone through half a dozen or more floods and turned back at three at least - fortunately avoided doing a Matty. One of the chaps at the meeting saw someone go into flood water in Birmingham and drive straight into a stranded car - fucking idiot.

I drove back from Harwich to N.Yorks last night and it was bloody hateful. Took me 6hrs as the A1 was properly flooded in places. Knackered cars all over the place, crashes, etc.

I spend my life whizzing around the country and I've never seen the A1 like that before. It was nuts.

I soaked my shoes last night pushing a Polo through a foot of water - takeaway delivery driver had taken a route that he shouldn’t, hit the water at a fair rate and killed the car. Gave him a lift back to his restaurant.
The general public are clueless when it comes to floods.

Yup.

What I enjoy having a hybrid is just popping into EV mode and just driving through with no problems

I wondered what the light shining through the window was - 87% full moon and an unexpectedly clear sky (the forecast is ongoing cloud cover) :o 8-)

Looks like a big one is coming down South, looking bad for the channel islands.

Channel Island ferries have already been stopped, I'm sure stoppages will progress easterly through the day.

I’m surprised the Dover crossing is still open considering the pictures I’ve seen of the size of the waves crashing already - must be a right vomit comet 😂

It's very wet and windy here atm. It's not very nice outside either.

I'll start a GoFundMe. Together we can fix it.

I came down from London last night, sharpened the chainsaws, filled with fuel, fuelled the generator, brought a “one life live it” sticker, packed 2 condoms and ….nothing.
A lot of small branches and twigs down on the country roads.
Keep getting power cuts which last a few minutes before it comes back on.
