Simon banned me from posting for an hour for this transgression. I accept that this was more than reasonable, offer my formal and heartfelt apologies to each and every forum member, and pledge that I'll do better in the future guys.

I mean, just the thought that anyone in a car near a school must be dropping kids off there is so mind-fuckingly stupid you'd have to be a vine listener to believe it's possible.

Banning schools from existing near roads, and enforcing full PPE and crash helmets on all school children would be a rational alternative solution.

I feel sorry for the driver, imagine having to live with the fact you killed two kids through no fault of your own! Vile man using that to get clicks 🤬
Cheers,

I saw an even more vile idiot posting about the accident on Twitter. I’ll see if I can find it…

Vine is seriously lacking in empathy. Found this Google search result amusing - is it actually him being interviewed?

Had my first off since I started commuting again this morning.

Entirely self inflected, was turning on to some wet granite slabs and leaned too far/was going too fast.

Stings a bit

My last off on the road bike was whilst looking behind to tell one of my kids to be careful  - turned back round to face forwards and I had reached a bend that I thought was still a few seconds away. Both wheels mm from the kerb at this point, so I should have jumped the bike onto it in the fraction of a second before I made impact. Instead I ran into it and flipped over. Of course.

Aside - do you have a corresponding tattoo on the other hand?

The blood coming through your sock looks like it hides a mess underneath. Hope you're ok.

My last one was trying to skirt round a rubber speed bump which was a bit wet. As I was not expecting it, I went down like a stone. really painful cuts to knees, and one elbow, mahoosive bruise on my ribs where the bars hit me and a whack to the head, enough to require a new helmet.
