Venator has finally landed, and I have to say I think its an impressive kit (certatinly compared to the all grey previous efforts).
A lot of $$ mind you, and you'll need a warehouse to display it
Shirley you mean a hangar!?

Concorde comes in a big box - easily 40cm x 40cm x 8cm - gonna take a while to build I think, especially in my currently impaired state!

Concorde looks really good, but am still finding it weird to not have the BA livery on it.
I've never seen The Clone Wars so have no attachment to The Venator but it does look epic.

Looks like the pre-prod livery...:

That Pepsi paint job was a bit rubbish. The plane could only pass mach 2 for 20 minutes or it would overheat and it spent most of it's flying time at mach 0.7 and only did 16 flights.

Google āMiss Moses Lakeā itās the Concorde based at duxford air museum, has some more interesting stuff going on like numbered sections on the leading edge with cameras focused on them to view any ice build up

It's going to be massive when it's done - the wing is bags 1 -> 11 (of 21) but it does include the landing gear and a clever deploy/retract mechanism for it! 10 bags to go or 9 if i decide to hang it instead of mount on stand (which is bag 21). Overall a pretty easy build so far but it will get fiddly with nose mechanism i suspect

I built the Tranquil Garden set recently which I was surprisingly entertained by. Kinda only really bought it because I'm a sucker for anything Japanese culture but the set was genuinely a lot of fun to make. It's difficult to describe in words, but I tend to make things following the instructions and not really look ahead at all, so as you put some bricks down, you get this sense of 'I wonder what that's for' or 'Oh I see!" like twenty steps later. That sense of I'm not sure where this is going, especially because my brain is quite logic/engineering minded, is quite fun I find - surprise fun. And the Tranquil Garden had a fair bit more of that than I expected. The 'trees' are all easily exchanged, they pop in and out of the build easily so there's even an element of arrangement for a sense of order and calm that suits you or where you display it. Very Japanese.
