An ex-Army tank commander explained this to me. In actual war, in a firefight, you don't want to kill the enemy. A dead soldier is dead. That's only one person out of the fight. A seriously injured soldier screaming in agony will mean two or three out of the fight as someone needs to tend to them, and even if they don't, the screaming is distracting and pretty bad for morale.

Unless you’re fighting against an enemy like Russia, who just shoot their wounded soldiers to solve that problem!

The guy was also shooting from side-on which is going to make everything even more difficult and thanks to their gun laws, there's no telling how experienced he was or if it just picked up a rifle and red dot and relied on his COD skills.

Seems crazy that the guards would let him stand there after waving his fist in the air. Surely you’d bundle him down and away as quickly as possible in case there were more

That's just the result of having an open carry rules. You can't arrest someone for having a rifle on a roof, if having a rifle on a roof is considered A-OK by your local gun laws, because FREEDUM

It was a young white American republican. Not a Democrat. Not Black. Not an immigrant. Not Muslim. Not queer. Not a drag queen. He was none of the things that republicans claim are a danger to America.

It would be interesting to see this ladies camera footage (and the countless other videos from all angles available!)

Something I've not read about yet - what would have happened if the shooter was successful ? MAGA is a cult built on one person. Without that person the whole thing would fall apart ? All the mega-donors would still want a return on their investment. It would get real messy.

He didn’t say that at all, he gave his condolences and thoughts and then said we have to get over it as a country. Lots of media sound bites miss all the important stuff out so it sounds like he told the parents to get over it.

I think if Trump did a term which was a success then he would massively promote someone in his team for “Trump 2” and it would go round again.

It all depends on how many big businesses he annoys I think. I read a piece (I need to find it incase I read it wrong) who said the media outlets and some big corporations are scared as they think they will be outed for dodgy dealings. If he gets in and it’s likely his last term, will he go for the jugular on the dodgy ones ? I mean he has shown he isn’t in it for the money as it’s costing him most of his wealth already.

It always surprises me how all politicians on a fixed salary do so well in stocks and shares and acquisitions
