Re: The ebay thread
And having looked closer at the pics, the arches are rotten and it’s had a clout to the nsf that they’ve not even tried to fix !
It might be worth a grand for the bits (the diff is £500 easy) but otherwise, nah.

Yeah, it's been for sale for ages. I don't know what lightweight panels it's got but it's not the wings as they're dented / rusty and not the bonnet or boot unless they're expensive double skinned ones which take the standard latches ( which I very much doubt )
Cheers, Harry

Re: The ebay thread
Meh, don't worry. We'll find you a car and make you come rallying

Re: The ebay thread
I would not pay that money, and have absolutely no idea how that price compares to an original, but I do think this is v cool.
First time I came across an RST on the road, I was driving my 2.0 Efi MG Maestro. It had K&N and a full Bell stainless 2” exhaust, so let’s say it had 120bhp.
RST came up behind me late at night on the A78 dual carriageway at Prestwick, just as we were approaching a roundabout. We both took that rather quickly and had a clear run onto the straight. I knew he would be quicker - RST was a level up in hot hatch terms - but he came past ridiculously quickly. At the time my gob was well smacked, but I realised later he must have had tweaks - car weights were similar and Maestro was torquey - but the speed differential was not reflective of a 10bhp advantage. Made me want one even more though.

Re: The ebay thread
That’s quite a cool car

Re: The ebay thread
I don't know whether it's the same seller or not but that's been on the market long time (it's probably somewhere earlier on this thread).
Re: The ebay thread
The last time it was advertised it had a very comprehensive description of how it was built and why. Original car written off and only new 3 door estate bodies left I believe. That's a pretty half arsed ad for a relatively special car.nuttinnew wrote: Sun Jun 21, 2020 11:30 pm I don't know whether it's the same seller or not but that's been on the market long time (it's probably somewhere earlier on this thread).

Bloody awful colour.
Re: The ebay thread
Hey, I didn't post in the 7.5k thread, grumpy

It's ok on a non sporty 5er, goes well with the interior.

I like the 12 stage inspection That places offers for ASSURANCE.

“10. hybrid vehicle checks”. Yep, it’s not a hybrid.
“12. Convenience”. Well we could only think of 11 real-ish ones.

Re: The ebay thread
It’s the same company we got my wife’s Passat from, when they really were at 12 London Road (Bagshot). It’s been a very good car FWIW.
Re: The ebay thread
The previous owner was the King of Jordan - now that car has seen some norks in its time!
How about not having a sig at all?
