Dogsitting today and tomorrow, a two-and-a-bit (iIrc) year old French Bulldog who's retained the exuberance of puppyhood but is now rather more of a lump. Squeak a toy, and I'm sure his inner monologue is "coming at you like a bowling Bouledogue". He calms down well and has been fine with me (relaxed enough to fall asleep), but he hasn't been overnight here before and I'm not sure how he'll take the change. He has his own bedtime routine at home and doesn't like it not being followed, hopefully he won't be too unsettled. Before that, though, I have to help a pigeon. Hopefully he's just needed rest and will be ok, hopefully I'll have more luck finding help & advice than is available on a Sunday; pup and pige won't make happy housemates.

Only just saw this, shitty news about pigeon.
We had Hutch in for his jabs today, I fear we have over-indulged the monster since his brother died as he has gained 3kg. He now weighs 68kg so going to get him back to his slender 62kg self in the next few months. He can have a free pass on Christmas Day though

Hope everyone’s fleet is ok tonight, my two thankfully couldn’t care less that there’s lots of banging but I am aware I may be in the minority

German Shepherd no issue. Rescue dog absolutely petrified - trembling and following us around everywhere. Got her out before dark to ensure she got a fear-free walk too.

Following on from the traumatic experience of slicing Toby’s leg he’s been to a professional groomers today, and we’ve got our little gremlin back once again he’s very funny with his front legs being touched so his front paws aren’t the best, but hopefully once he visits the same people a few times he’ll allow her to do a better job of them, but overall very pleased with results

Meanwhile missy continues to be a typical greyhound, with her mad half hour followed by this. Unless there’s food, she fully understands the word biscuit, it almost works better than her actual name

Having a Husky is a brave choice. I keep thinking about having one but they all seem like 4 times the work of any other dog!

She is an emergency re-home. A friend adopted her about a month ago and due to unfortunate circumstances was unable to keep her. The dog rescue places are all full, so we stepped in and now have a 2 year old Husky !

You know you’re not supposed to have just one husky, so you’ll have to go get another dog
Gorgeous dog btw, has she wailed the house down yet? They can be quite vocal
