I have not read far into it (I've seen the press reports of course) but there's a lie in the second sentence: "As a responsible government...". That will be the same government which sent the Art50 notification without having made any plans, and which has self-evidently been entirely unprepared throughout the process. Not 'responsible' in any normal sense of the word.

Not 'responsible' in any normal sense of the word.

But unfortunately a good part of that lies on the remain side as well. Philip Hammond is a prime culprit behind no-deal planning being behind schedule as he fought tooth and nail to deny funding to no-deal preparations.

Anyway, I don't think it is looking as likely that no-deal will happen as it was a few weeks ago - even JRM is making noises that he can accept TM's withdrawal agreement with only a non-legally binding codicil that the backstop is not intended to be permanent.

I don’t think there’s much wrong with Brexiteer. It’s not inherently offensive and I think a lot of them think it gives them a rakish air.

Remoaner is just an insult and kind of implies Brexiteers haven’t spent the last 2 decades moaning about the EU.

The thing is, Parliament has to vote in favour of delaying; if there's no motion passed, we leave in 17 days. So there's a risk that Labour bugger up a delay too.
