Re: Your fleet running reports
I've only ever been pulled over for the festive season random alcohol tests the police conduct in Denmark. They do it every year, and without fail they catch people who shouldn't be driving.

Is it a zero limit over there?
Re: Your fleet running reports
I’m mainly driving at London late at night when it’s more quiet - last week I was following a M2 from Blackwall tunnel all the way to Tower bridge and in the Limehouse tunnel an Audi A3 tagged behind me. The M2 was taking the piss in terms of swerving round cars excessively and touching 50 but I kept catching up to him due to all the traffic lights. Get a bit further up the road and the A3 turns on it’s lights and siren, cuts around me and parks in front of the M2Rich B wrote: Tue Dec 22, 2020 6:50 am I haven't been pulled over by the police since I was about 22 (tax disk had expired). Wtf are you doing to get it so regularly?!

Heart in mouth moment for a few seconds until I got past!
How about not having a sig at all?

No it is 0.5. But, you can get convicted of drink driving with less alcohol in your blood if you're deemed to be unable to safely operate and control the vehicle.

Good policing - the right outcome.Mito Man wrote: Mon Dec 21, 2020 10:53 pm Nice chaps, told me that we’ve all done it and to not do it again and just told me I’m free to go after checking the car is insured.
Touch wood I've never been pulled over but I did come close carefully and sensibly keeping pace with a 5 Series up the M40. Kept well back, good signalling, moved over to lane 1 after each overtake etc. I was driving well. His speed gradually increases, as did mine and then Police flashed up on his back window as we crossed 80mph.
Re: Your fleet running reports
I think the traffic police here are very fair, at least the ones I’ve come across - I’ve only ever gotten a telling off so they must have all judged my driving as being within a reasonable standard and not taking too many liberties.
All of my recent incidents have happened driving the 6 series. Perhaps I should stick to driving the Defender and Mito

Re: Your fleet running reports
Five police stoppages over the years for me. The latest was earlier this year for an incorrectly spaced number plate, which I sold yesterday on e-bay. They let me off with a thorough kicking, I mean ticking off.

Re: Your fleet running reports
I've not been stopped in ages, probably 15 years (touch wood), but back in the 90's when I was tearing around the countryside on bikes it was a pretty common event. I always found the police to be pretty fair, even after they almost crashed their car

Re: Your fleet running reports
I’ve had a hat wave after chasing a Supra, they were in an unmarked GSI2000 Cavalier which was very strange.
Pulled for racing and it was my mates Dad who breathalysed me, never felt so pathetic as an adult saying Yes Mr Hill, No Mr Hill.
Policeman clocked me speeding, pulled me over and I was on my way to the Cadet Range so I had 10 GP rifles and 2 LSW machine guns in the boot.
Virtually none since I stopped driving like a wally, strange that

Re: Your fleet running reports
Ha. Very true. I used to drive like a proper cock when younger. Far to fast in built up areas which is what caused me the most fines/points (and rightly so). Lost my license for 6mths when I got to 16 points. Use of speed was applied with far more discretion after that. Still like to drive fast when conditions allow when out of town though.V8Granite wrote: Tue Dec 22, 2020 7:49 pm.

I did get properly fucked over by the PSNI on the way to catch a ferry in Belfast. Overtook an unmarked car with 4 armed officers onboard on a country road. They gave chase and were not amused. Guns out and rights read. Tried to do me for dangerous driving and had to go to court. Also had to get my boss to write a letter to Sir Hugh Ord begging for leniency
I got fed up of giving money to the lying twats
Re: Your fleet running reports
Youre less likely to get done these days as there are no coppers
I mustve been pulled over and sat in police cars more than 50 times. Even when 16 years old stopped twice in one day on my AR50 kwak. Police probably rang my parents over 10 times when I was a kid. But then we all grow up....

They don't give a crap round here - I've come off a roundabout in the M3 way too fast with a bit of a wag of the tail on more than one occasion to see a police car coming the other way. Never been pulled.

I overtook an unmarked 306 pug full of CID in my teens on the way home from buying a car from a man in a pub car park (true story). The 306 caught up at a roundabout and forced me to pull over. I couldnt open the window or door to get out as new car. It also had 3 keys so I while i tried to open the boot another of the plain clothes officer came round and asked if I knew if it was taxed or not - apparently the disk in the car had the wrong registration on it. I was promptly arrested on suspicion on theft and sat in a police station for many hours until my dad told them it was all not made up

Let off.

My friends said the same when I bought my Volvo, I don't really care about the cars image, as long as its quick and comfortable.
Looks like they're very easily taken up to 310hp 500 lbft as well which should be adequate for a while!

Nearly got pulled over once doing 75 on the A1M.
30 seconds after a 150 (gps, speedo at 170) run. The thought of the bumming for 150 in the early 2000's speed climate was enough to not try it again.

Re: Your fleet running reports
Been pulled three times. Never been let off.
Luckiest was in a 3.0 Z4 that I’d only had a few weeks. Friday afternoon on a pretty empty brand new stretch of the A34 so put my foot down. I know I went above 120 for quite a while. After about 15 mins a motorcycle cop appeared behind me and pulled me over. He’d been chasing me for ages apparently and was fucking fuming, saying he knew exactly how fast I’d been going but as I’d gone past his gun at 93 that was all he could do me for. He calmed down after a while and we chatted for a bit. 3 points and £100.
