Nicely done. Might have to see if my local Tesco has that in.

The release of the Weber Searwood passed me by, looks to be an intriguing proposition! I am still very happy with my set up though, and haven't even used the smoker this year yet (the shame), so couldn't justify it.

I haven’t bothered to dismantle and clean my Weber again - just turned all burners up full and let it run while I jet washed the patio. Probably ought to replace the drip tray liner though.

My Meater recently gave up the ghost and, with the new BBQ having 3 distinct cooking areas, I treated myself to this, based on a recommendation of a Mate who's seriously into his BBQ'ing...

Bizarrely, I paid £119 for it yesterday but today, it's £169. Result...

Ahh, that looks good. I've got a wired one that connects a base station and then to my phone over bluetooth but a wifi one without all the wires coming out of the oven/bbq sounds less of a faff.

We had some of those Tesco Specially Selected Rib Eyes on Saturday and they were outstanding, as good as anything I've had from the butchers.
Sadly they are now £49.95 a kilo which I didn't notice when buying them so won't be having many of those a week.

Quick update:
Sofia, who did the above review is now a judge on Aus Masterchef
Nice article -
https://www.melbournefoodandwine.com.au ... e-brisket/
Australia doesn't do Michelin stars for some reason; they have Chefs Hats instead -
https://www.agfg.com.au/agfg/ratings-symbols/awards
Now it's not likely a shonky BBQ takeaway joint with a few picnic benches outside will ever win a hat. However, a Critics Choice mention is

AF.
We got that 2 weeks before we closed - it was a busy few weeks!

The Beefy Boys do a proper bbq evening at their original Hereford restaurant a few nights each month. They were ranked 15th in the world outside the US recently. I have been meaning to visit. Must get round to it.

As the wife is still 100% carnivore going out to eat can be tricky as most BBQ places we see are smothered in sugary sauces.

Really really good. The kids had all they could eat for £15 and £10 as Connor is still under 10.
Adults one was £42.50p each and both of us were completely full when we left. Apart from the ribs everything was just very nicely done cuts of meat and we didn't wait more than a few minutes. The only bit we didn't manage to get was the gammon but purely as we had filled up on steak and chicken.
Very enjoyable and excellent value.
Dave!

Forgot to add (on the grill front rather than proper BBQ) - my Weber Genesis II igniter stopped clicking at the end of the summer. I assumed it was the battery and finally got round to replacing it last weekend but it still doesn't click so I think the whole igniter is goosed. Annoying.
