Still enjoying the chinese fakey lego - last built a £37 Raptor. Nothing wrong with wanting the real thing, the nice boxes/manuals, chasing rarities, etc but I just like building them and £120+ is nuts for a pile of plastic pieces and a few hours entertainment of building it.

No judgement here tbh although I enjoy the display aspect after building too. And there is potential resale value with genuine Lego, if you decide to clear stuff out, which I doubt the copies have.

Tbf I sold my knock off Caterham for more than I paid for it.

Defender arrived, next order likely to be the funky new UCS X-Wing, micro Star Destroyer, Endor diorama..

Expensive month, May 😱

What do we think of the 908X Le Mans car?

I know technic models never feature any glass areas but with the windscreen of the 9x8 having a heavily rounded shape the resulting baseball cap peak it leaves looks a little awkward to me

I'm losing interest in Technics yeah, the obvious panel gaps and issues with body work aren't being balanced with technical aspects on the chassis. Plus they tend to get discounted heavily so I'm happy to wait.

I thought the UCS X-Wing looks really good but saw some whinging about it. I've obviously not let that stop me so have ordered it today.

I still have an irrational need to buy the UCS AT-AT if I had the room to display it.

Likewise, Lego are so clever at getting the adults hooked on these big sets, dammit.

I want the AT-AT, Falcon, MosEisely, Titanic..

My wife bought me this for my birthday.

Whilst it's not the big daddy one, I'm still having fun building it. I'm just about to start bag number 7, so I'm probably just over halfway through it.

That's very cool. I'm still not sure exactly what makes Lego so relaxing and therapeutic over and above the "thing" you end up with.

There's an AT-AT in stock at my local Smyths and its really difficult to not reserve it, even though I have the Razorcrest to finish and the X-Wing sitting unopened...

I ordered the classic Land Rover Defender from the Lego store online yesterday. Wanted the freebie removal truck which has made a brief comeback, and had £20 of VIP vouchers to take off it.

I'm going to get the new Defender when I can find it on offer somewhere. I like the Star Wars stuff but fear that could be a slippery slope...

Quite tempted by the old Defender model. Would look good next to the new one we have. McLaren F1 also pretty cool.

I think the next purchases are going to have to be the Indiana Jones dioramas though 8-)
