But you’d all understand “a” meaning for someone “taking the red pill” yeah? An awakening, seeing the big picture, etc...
He was either naive to its meaning, or it’s a deliberate dog whistle. I’ll wait while you all Google dog whistle...

Doesn't "Take the Red Pill" just mean facing any difficult truth rather than living in blissful ignorance. ?
I'm not on twitter so don't know the full context but he might not be making a comment on feminism?

I've not read the context but know he's an anti lockdown corona disbeliever so imagine it's him being a nutjob and thinking it's a deliberate plot by every government in the world to destroy their own economies to control people again

The context appears to be that he’s pissed off with Democrat-controlled California not allowing him to reopen his factories and that he’s planning to move his factories to Republican-controlled states.

Relax people, I might be 100% wrong And I’m fine with that. I’m just trying to work out everyone else’s understanding too.

Not until 5 minutes ago.
At first my only reference was to Teh Matrix
Same here
However, it's Musk so I still took it as some sort of loon post. He's off his box - needs to quit the drugs I think.

Did you miss the last line of that comment where I said it’s been adopted by a larger network of right wing arseholes

Never heard of it either. Shame Musk has to be so mental all the time, he's a genius in many ways and there's a lot I admire about him. I wish he'd just stick to science/technology.

So that is what you think is “gross”. That he’s supporting right wing arseholes.

Yes, it’s gross that he’s using his massive platform to push alt right dog whistles again.

Regardless of whether he supports them or not, putting something up that could be misconstrued in such a way is pretty foolish- letting groups like that believe he supports them empowers them and gives them a figurehead to rally around

Of all the buzzwords in the last page or so, the only one familiar to me was alt right = fascist?
English is a pretty comprehensive language and I realise it evolves but by fuck it is hard to keep up. Incel, dog whistles, woke etc
So just to get this clear in my head, Musk probably knows the fascist and anti feminist connotation of his tweet (but most of us did not?) and therefore he is even more of a dick than he appeared when accusing brave people of kiddy fiddling?

The alt right aren't all feminists now, are they? FFS, I can't keep up.

I didn't know even dogs could be alt-right these days FFS. Or that they could blow whistles. I can't keep up anymore
