I love a White Russian. But what would work to reduce the booze content?

just seen this one, yeah it's a good little run isn't it, it's our normal local night out now - two flints, indie rabble and Windsor and Eton brewery once you have a few beers in you.

Hmmm, good point. Reducing the vodka, but then that has no taste anyway. Maybe they're simply meant to be weaponised milkshakes

I tend to put whatever I have to hand in a White Russian to be honest - start traditionally but end up with rum, whisky and Baileys with milk  So weaponised milkshakes is very apt.

Try v-kat? Described as Vodka schnapps and at 22% is almost half a decent vodka? It’ll taste like shit by itself but possibly not bad mixed?

As for using different spirits, my whiskey doesn’t get mixed, it stays in a glass by itself- it goes down at a scary rate sometimes, especially when the gremlins are sharing. It must be gremlins because I’ve been paying attention to how much has been going in my glass and I’ve definitely not drank 3/4 of that bottle. I promishhhh

I have a long running theory that La Goudale is a front for running drugs - much like Los Pollos Hermanos. It’s just that there’s a crazy number of La Goudale trailers that enter the border but you never see the beer sold in any large quantity in this country.
So my friend who lives quite close to the factory thought it apt to bring me a selection of their beers.
Had this one tonight

Bloody horrific, I’m surprised it’s actually a beer. Sickly sweet cider more like. I can only describe the flavour like drinking a jug of fruit juice, then drinking too much vodka, and then throwing up.
Still think it’s a drugs front
How about not having a sig at all?

Bought Northern Monk x Get Baked Bertha XOX on a whim. It is a chocolate cake stout. Definitely not a session beer, but pudding in a can! Highly recommended.

Edit: Followed by a Brewdog King Crush. BiL wondered about the strength, as he felt a tad impaired. They're both 8.4%

The latter was quite tropical in flavour, very different, but a nice change after the heavy stout.

If you like that style of beer, get Vault City's DDF Mars Bar.

Best imperial stout style beer I've ever had, 15.5% but doesn't taste like it has any alcohol in it it's so well done.

The Polish dark stout I had yesterday was lovely. The 9.8% kick, less so.

In Krakow for a jolly, and having been up at 4am to get to the airport in time, we ended up mostly drinking beer during the day. I feel asleep at 8pm.

The early finish is why I love it  Out early, home early FTW.

We were out for GF’s friend’s 40th a few weeks ago. Meet up at 1pm for drinks and food, down the road to a day disco/club at 4pm. In bed for 8-9pm. Added bonus of not feeling as ropey the next day. It was a revelation.

I feel ropey. Coffee and juice has helped.
