Sorry for the Fox News vid, but it's the longest version I can find.

Love to see these wackos on the sharp end of some American justice for a change.

Another one.

Entitled wailer shouting "we're non-violent" as if that completely excuses blocking thousands of people from their travel in the Nevada heat. Also 'this is a peaceful protest' whilst standing in front of truck trying to drive through.

It's the protestor's equivalent of kids holding their hand in front of your face saying 'not touching, can't get mad, not touching, can't get mad'.

they chose this plan to be as high profile as possible, they must have been aware that the sentencing would also take this into account. it’s not as though they could be given a slap in the wrists as it would encourage more of the same.

not sure how much they’ve done for their cause here…

The main activist who got the longest sentence - Roger Hallam - is this guy:

https://www.independent.co.uk/tv/climat ... 85727.html
Mike asks Hallam: “If it were an ambulance and there was someone in there that could potentially die, would you stay there?”

“Yep,” Hallam instantly replies.
So yeah, five years for him seems about right. Fuck that prick.

And four years for the rest of them might cause some other middle and upper middle class crusties with delusions of adequacy to rethink their life choices.

I was thinking that it's amazing that people can be willing to go to prison for so long for scientific research that they probably are incapable of comprehending... but actually, far more people would do worse for stuff that has no shred of basis in science, so I guess they're not even that mental in the greater scheme of things. :D

That’s a bit of an assumption on your part Duncs.

It’s weird how well educated and intelligent people will write off other mostly well educated and intelligent people because they disagree with them.

If we all followed the teachings of the super clever climate activists, East Anglia would be underwater and oil would only have 10 years left.
