Bosses like that don’t lose their shit when people leave, because it’s obvious from their behaviour that they don’t value people in the first place. They see employees as replaceable utilities. That’s why they treat you like shit because they know they’ll find someone else who’s desperate for a job to fill the gap after you leave.

It'll be interesting to see if they even try to replace me. They went six months between ops leads before I started...

Jobs up on indeed. They want to pay someone minimum wage to do carrier level telecoms routing, and they want a graduate who they'll pay just above minimum wage to run thier it/network ops 24/7.

Your can get paid better to stack shelves at Lidl for both those jobs. And most graduate jobs start at.... Rather higher than that.

Several senior (in terms of experience and knowledge) staff are seeing how this is playing out and are updating thier CVs - enough of them to cripple the business operationally.

This gets more hilarious every day.

In the meantime, my new sponsors have let me know my hardware options, etc.
