Ours is superb.
I wish I'd just done it before I stead of wasting 2 years with the buggy Philips one.
Software, and picture processing is SOOOO much better.
Ours is superb.
Excited. Had my head set on a QNED, but got offered a deal on a proper OLED that was too tempting.16vCento wrote: Sun Apr 30, 2023 10:29 pm

Delivered and up on the wall. No surprise that the picture is superb.
Yep, bloody autocorrect.. but I knew you’d have a suitable pic standing by! (Like we all did!)
I got the LG SP8Y in a deal when I bought mine (£400 off) and it's bloody great.mik wrote: Tue May 09, 2023 9:15 pmDelivered and up on the wall. No surprise that the picture is superb.![]()
It came as a deal with a Sound bar (Meridian/LG S75Q) - 380w inc sub. Hadn’t planned to use it with this telly as it is hooked up to the stereo, but it’s pretty unobtrusive and it’s nice to have decent sound without going through the hifi, so it’ll probably stay here after all.
Reminds me of the funky super bright water cooled outdoor TV that DIY Perks made.Mito Man wrote: Sat May 13, 2023 8:08 pm Found a use for the old plasma![]()
Sometimes my genius is so great that I scare myself.

QNED can’t quite match lovely OLED in terms of black depths, but gets extremely close, and counters with an ability to go much brighter than OLED. Far cheaper, so possibly a good compromise (for me).
Had a look in John Lewis yesterday and picture on both screens looked fantastic. Good summary here.

I went and had a look at the various options today in Richer Sounds - LED, QLED, QNED, OLED...
OLED really is a step up isn't it, so I just ordered one at double my original budget!
