My neighbour has an IoM M3 saloon, I think it looks awful!

It reminds me of the early 2000s mg trophy colours that have the cars a cheap plasticky look. I think the mg green was nicer than the bmw one though.

My main issue with some of BMW's current M colours is along these lines... And don't get me wrong, I like the colours, but they're just not for me.
IOM green in configurator.
IOM green in daylight.
Reminds me of these.

I just assumed that green was the one that they put on the M5 and M8 with the bronze grilles and wheels.
There is something funny about it, too much white or pale blue in the top coat maybe.

I like green exteriors. I like red interiors. And vice versa. But both combined...

@Wilspeed
@ZedLeg I think that is the same green... I know Chris Harris got his M2 CS wrapped in a nice dark colour and that looked great with the gold wheels. I do like the BMW M Performance gold wheels, but what colour would I go with then... Still no sign of a build slot so its all academic anyway.

The colour looks cheap, like the green on a plastic super car you win at the funfair.
Dave!

It’s amazing that it’s 2022 and the models in their configurator look like something from the late 90s and so far removed from real life.
You get a more accurate representation of real life colours on most computer games.
Hell, just pay whoever made the Forza games to make the models / colours in a little bmw Forza vista style product showcase where you can swap wheels and paint etc like you can in a game.

Just as I'm starting to wonder if its going to be 2024 for a car based on current posts-of-doom from the Facebook group, I've got a confirmed build slot of week 8 next February. Not sure how long it takes to actually build and get to me, but that's a pleasant surprise so guess I need to pick a colour soon-ish...

Thanks! I've been waiting for this car since the M5 Touring went...
Have finalised my order and despite much to'ing and fro'ing about colours and an individual colour, I've stuck with the dark blue as I'm wanting something a bit subtle and have always liked that colour for estates. I did think about the Mexico/Riviera blue thing but at 5K, a 6 month delay and the fact I'm nearly 50.... meant I'm going for the old man colour.
It's booked-in with a local company to get the vulnerable bits PPF'd and a ceramic coating done in March.

What wheels did you go for in the end? None of your pictures are working for me...

I went for the bi-colour which are the silver with a hint of black - black ones would have just got lost with the darker colour.

Totally agree. I only really like black wheels on white cars personally.

Does that mean yours will look like this but a Touring, Mike? Or is it a different style of alloys? Very nice; looking through the approved used saloon M3s on Autotrader, I really like the Tanzanite and it's not that common.

Yes, like this one but with those lighter alloys

That's nice, pretty close to forum approved Doom Blue for expensive BMW leases too.

If you go for that blue, don't you have to get the blue interior too? Evokes the old E46:
