I saw his reply when he posted it, I was just explaining the original question again to you as I was highlighting I was making a query, a point you didn’t quite catch the first time aroundJobbo wrote: Fri May 22, 2020 12:09 pmWell I have no direct experience but Rev does, why not see if he mentions it on this page?Orange Cola wrote: Fri May 22, 2020 11:59 am does the car still have scuttle shake just like a convertible?
Surely you doMito Man wrote: Fri May 22, 2020 10:27 am I didn’t know what IROC was until this thread. And I have no idea what song you’re on about![]()
Did you miss the ultimate structural rigidity of a hard top?NotoriousREV wrote: Sat May 23, 2020 5:27 pm Went for a thrash around the Peak District in the Camaro with a mate in his 997 C2S. It’s fair to say those roads suit the Porsche a bit better but it was good fun. Averaged 17.6 mpg which isn’t terrible.
Well at least you know you can only fold it in half 7 times.NotoriousREV wrote: Sat May 23, 2020 10:02 pm Is it still called scuttle shake when it’s the entire bodyshell that flexes?
Are there any roads that wouldn't suit the Porsche better than the Camaro?NotoriousREV wrote: Sat May 23, 2020 5:27 pm Went for a thrash around the Peak District in the Camaro with a mate in his 997 C2S. To be in trouble with a traffic Bobby, first you have to see one. I reckon I see about one a year, out of that they very rarely go the same way as me. Even more rare they’re close enough to see my car properly, don’t think I’ve been followed by a traffic bobby for 8 or more years now and I don’t exactly do average miles in one location of the country.mik wrote: Wed May 27, 2020 1:25 pm Are they legal?![]()
You can fit reduced-size font for an import, but you still need the plate mfr postcode, BS number etc....
Or you just been in trouble with the law since the day you were born?
What regs?mik wrote: Wed May 27, 2020 1:53 pm I was challenged twice on the smaller-font plate I put on the VXR8.
First time was when I was turning in a police station car park, but they were quickly satisfied.
Second time was with a very aggressive traffic cop who was even angrier when I showed him the regs (carried a copy in the car) and explained that my plate complied. Usually traffic cops are sound so I assume he’d had a shit day.
