Yes, but I'm a sucker for that era of Porsche. If it's been rebuilt to a high standard by capable folks, £16.5 does seem cheap.
RichB, did you see the green/tan 928 on Collecting Cars the other week... That looked pretty perfect to me. Wheels are critical on the 928 though, bad ones ruin the look! (I would have to change the ones in the blue car for example)

Those are the correct wheels for that period of 928. I suspect they get swapped out for Cup 1s or Turbo Twists for brake cooling as well as aesthetic reasons. I like the originals and I'm undecided if I'll keep the Cup 1s on mine or swap them for the original ones. That's gone for £30K purely on the mileage and the fact it's a manual. I don't like the interior colour and I'm not a fan of those side rubbing strip/door protector things either.

I've not been able to pick it up yet due to lockdown.
I'm hoping to pick it up in the next month.
I have a list of jobs that need doing (in no particular order)
1. Swap the gear lever for a standard one (I have the shifter but it needs tidying up)
2. Swap the steering wheel back for a standard one (I have one of those too).
3. New cam belt and water pump (I'm not tackling that myself - my local Porsche specialist, Strasse will handle that although not much change out of £1K for that
).
4. Swap the stereo for something modern, yet period correct looking (i.e. a Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46)
5. Give it a thorough clean (including taking the carpets out to clean)
6. Fill it full of Super Unleaded and see how few miles I can get on a full tank.
7. Film an emergency start video

Ahhh, that takes me back - I loved the Nakamichi (CD45z I think) I had in my Clio valver. The sound quality was immense. Bought from the Dimma world shop that used to be in the Trafford Centre IIRC,
very many years ago.

Ive been following several of the above for months and noticed no end of cars not selling at reasonable price points, then getting immediately relisted at higher prices and unsurprisingly still not selling

Seem to start around £12k for a reasonable looking fresh import. About £15k seems to get a nice one.
Seems decent value to me given the price of a lot of comparable stuff and doubt they're ever going to go down in value from now. Won't be much longer before they're able to go to the us under the 25 year rule either.

Funny I was looking at Evos last night, I live close to SVA imports so usually stop and have a look when I go past. I was worried about HPI checks on an import but someone on the Mitsubishi Evo forum has a link to a Japanese HPI type check which even shows auction pictures - lots of people stung when they realised their cars were clocked or had more damage than they were told. But good to know there’s a tool out there to check.

There's a list, but it changes a lot just now and Mrs Mike needs to decide if she's keeping the Navara and horse box or getting a lorry. I end up with a list which has a couple of practical things on it and a couple of less practical options.
I'm also driving a lot less than ever, so I'm really in two minds about what direction to go.

Similar problem with the LHD Mustangs, people just assume they’re ok.
