Pubs and restaurants in Aberdeen are having to close again after 54 new cases being linked back to a single pub??

This is quite interesting (to me) in terms of the potential spread.
We can confirm the number of cases detected in the Aberdeen COVID-19 cluster now stands at 54.
We have, to date, identified 191 close contacts. Investigations are ongoing and we cannot rule out detecting further cases and therefore more close contacts.

We are aware that a number of detected cases linked to this cluster have visited other venues across Aberdeen and as of 12 noon today, these venues are as follows:
1. Bieldside Inn
2. Bobbin
3. Brewdog Castlegate
4. Buckie Farm Carvery
5. Café Andaluz
6. Café Dag
7. Café Drummond
8. Cock & Bull (The)
9. College Bar
10. Dutch Mill (The)
11. Dyce Carvery
12. East End Social Club
13. Ferryhill House Hotel
14. Hawthorn/Adam Lounge
15. Howff (The)
16. Justice Mill (The)
17. Marine Hotel (The)
18. McGintys’s
19. McNastys
20. Malmaison
21. Moonfish Café
22. No.10 Bar
23. O'Donoghues
24. Old Bank Bar
25. Prohibition
26. Soul
27. Spiders Web
28. The Draft Project

There were also four leisure settings named - Aboyne Golf Club; Deeside Golf Club; Hazelhead Golf Club; Banks O'Dee Football Club.
Cheers,

Mike.

It's a massive Bloody con. The potential of anything is huge if you use percentages rather than individual dead people who probably died of something else.

Going by some of the places on that list there’s probably a much higher risk of catching some STD than there is COVID.

If it's a con, then someone has to benefit, so who benefits out of this? The government having to shell out billions in furlough payments and losing even more in tax revenue through inactive businesses? People not being able to live their lives and see loved ones on a normal basis? Businesses that are struggling because they're not allowed to trade?
If you get all wobbly-lipped about the opinion of Internet strangers, maybe it's time to take a bath with the toaster as you'll never amount to sh1t anyway.

Yes you tell me the answer but question one thing. Worldwide deaths are less than 1 percent. How can that be such a major disaster?

Because if they did nothing at all there could be a million people die in the uk?

You have to guess the spread of cases when you get a handful of confirmed cases because people don’t all show symptoms and those that so should them straight away. By the time you get 500 confirmed cases in an area the real number could be 10 times that and it’s back to running wild with u controlled spread and a couple of weeks later 1000+ extra deaths per day on top of all the other people already dieing of other things.

integrale_evo what's a confirmed case? How do we know it's kosher? Who decided? The numbers are too low for this fuss.

What’s the source for that, only asking as I heard 2.3% from somewhere but couldn’t find a source for that either.

What percentage triggers it being worth trying to stop it?

Oh, I'm not wound up. I'm just amused that you think 700,000+ dead isn't much of a major disaster

Are you taking deaths or infection?

I'm not, really!

I'm also curious about which stats you're both referring to.

A positive test result.

Or have you been reading too much Facebook nonsense about fake tests and people getting results without even sending their swabs in?
