Sometimes it is nice to just listen to the gentle ticking....
Autos are better - you can still manually wind if you wish.

It is nice, but you can get a lot of Lotus bits for that!
What Alex said. If you want a manual winding watch you need to get one which is in some way better for being manual rather than automatic winding. The Speedy Pro is exactly that; the automatic versions are just not the watch which went to the moon.
I get what you're saying, but if you're just going to get something 'better' then would you buy any of them? Might as well just buy a nice looking quartz and have done with it in that case.
buy a watch that’s actually the more accurate and reliable method for telling the time?! Inconceivable!
Just like a dual clutch gearbox is better at changing gear than a human arm and manual gearbox.Rich B wrote: ↑Fri Jul 10, 2020 12:58 pmbuy a watch that’s actually the more accurate and reliable method for telling the time?! Inconceivable!
A shitty Seiko , I'd love a nice watch, but there's clearly other things I want more!
'Better' not in the sense of being better at telling the time, of course That would be madness.
That's actually a very good looking watch!mik wrote: ↑Fri Jul 10, 2020 10:01 pm @duncs500 If you really are after a hand-winder as opposed to an auto, there is one in the Chris Ward half-price sale that might be a more accessible price?

I enjoy winding my watch. I think it makes me appreciate the watch a bit more, and appreciate the mechanical bits inside
