Ultimate everyday car right there. Love the end of the video.
Left over crest; tightens.

That’s a pleasant surprise! I like it a lot more than I think I would, if fact one of the few new cars that I would buy, EuroMillions-pending (along with Alpine A110 & Morgan Plus 4)
Aventurine Green with Agave Green interior and carbon roof for me please.
My favourite 992 so far.

Yeah not the best wheels. I love the 997.1 turbo though. Manual, cobalt blue, just like this one:speedingfine wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 7:58 pm Just a quick straw poll, is there anyone on this forum that liked these? My BIL had them fitted to his 997 C4... I didn't have the heart to tell him they were awful

But would you be working on a car like that at home?Jobbo wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 6:23 pmI absolutely adore the wheels on Harry's. Not sure I'd want to have centre-lock wheels on my own for purely practical reasons (bloody impossible to get them done up to the right torque at home), but they look stunning.GG. wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 11:03 am Interestingly, looking back at the configurator, they now offer sufficient customisation options (mit manuel also!) to get rid of the awkward rear end treatment and crap looking engine cover / high level light, put a dirty great big wing on the back and basically spec something which looks like a GT3
First generation since the 996.1 that looks better with the sport design bodykit. Shows how wrong they got the original design IMO - particularly after the 991.2 which looked brilliant. Sport design wing looks better than the weird looking one on the turbo too. Very odd.

It’s a car like any other. Putting on winter wheels, cleaning the back of the alloys...Zonda_ wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 11:36 pmBut would you be working on a car like that at home?Jobbo wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 6:23 pmI absolutely adore the wheels on Harry's. Re: Harry’s Garage
i don’t think I’ve taken a wheel off a car since I cleaned/repainted the callipers in my e46 M3 - that must have been 7-8 years ago. I’d be fine with centre locks!
Re: Harry’s Garage
Yes on a 997.1 Turbospeedingfine wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 7:58 pm

Always liked the press shots
Re: Harry’s Garage
They look better with a set of dished BBS

There are other reasons I've been put off them: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/top ... &t=1526453
Re: Harry’s Garage
Centre locks look quite funky, but I don’t see the point on a road car.

Re: Harry’s Garage
The first time I took wheels off a car to clean them my son rolled one onto the drive face down and scratched it up.

Impact wrenches are horrible things which are tools of destruction in the hands of simpmetons.
A decent torque wrench is easy to do 600nm with, it’s a faff though as you would normally have a short extension and it’s something large to keep in the car.

Re: Harry’s Garage
When you buy a Porsche with center locks, it comes with the tool to torque them up correctly, AFAIK.

One of these I do like how it's suitable for light commercial vehicles, and Porsche centrelocks.
