Cleared historic fault codes on me bros car at the weekend. Seems the only thing that it's whining about these days is the throttle position sensor (thinks it has a hard spot) which is far from impossible, and eminently fixable, but the bro has spent so much time under the car (and so much money on it that he doesn't have, and neither do I...) lately that he's fucked that one off for now.
Cleared the fuel pressure reg fault on the Mondeo, although the display still reports it, it doesn't show up as a PCM fault any more. Which is odd; perhaps there's an MS-CAN setting to dump that. Regardless, got 8 litre of magnatec, an oil filter and a air filter. I'll probably do all that next weekend (as well as a fuel filter) and do the proper 'service reset' and see if that gets rid of it proper.
Still got a squeaky rear end, and I'll probably investigate that with a pry bar at some point and try to ID the bad connection. There's more back there than I expected and some oddness in the way the bushes are set up (the trailing arm is a pain without a specialist bush alignment tool - no really) so I'll probably point it at a Ford specialist for that, as it'll save a lot in labour if they have that tool.
Front tyres do want replacing though, so that's the next 'major' thing, monetarily at least. Couple of hundred quid for decent rubber. Bleh.

Galaxy has suffered a major malfunction. The little plastic tab that holds the lid closed on the washer fluid filler neck broke off when I filled it up yesterday. Sticky tape bodge in place while I source a replacement.

The creaky NSF is getting louder and doing my head in, need to get up up on a ramp too try and find the culprit

Had a mini ebay spending spree on bits for the Compact.
Cheapie coilovers (I've got a broken rear spring that needs replacing and I'm curious to see if £250 coilovers will put up with some autosolo / autotest abuse)
Spare set of wheels (wrongly listed as 15" when they're actually 16", bought for £55)
Rear strut brace (also acts as reinforcement to the top mount)
RALLY CAR mud flaps (for teh LOL)
Front bumper mesh to replace the slats (to make it look like an M3)
Front numberplate trim to suit smaller numberplate (because I'm secretly a bit chavvy)
I think I'll eventually end up putting my M3 ETK number plate on it. It's the closest I'll ever get to an M3 now.
I'm holding off on buying other mechanical bits until I decide on the overall plan. Stripping a Z3 is the most appealing option right now but I need the workshop space sorted so I can hide it from the wife !

M140i continues to do what it's meant to, 8500 miles and one year on. Still need to get the M4 LCAs fitted that have been rattling around the boot for a year...
Got the XFR wheels properly dipped, tested, straightened and painted as one was losing air and I had a slight vibration even with re-balancing.
The a/c failed for the second time in my ownership. It turns out the 'specialist' that fitted a condenser for me 18 months ago used the cheapest one possible. The Jagshop fitted a genuine one and I'm nice and cool again ready for the annual trip to Spain.
Other than new TPMS sensors and one window regulator the Jag has only needed routine servicing for the three years that we've had it.
It's been great, but will sadly need to go by the end of August to make way for a Discovery Sport; with a new family member on the way, there will be a regular requirement to have six seats and this seems the least awful option for us.

That's a great car combo I've always had a soft spot for the XFRs.
Do the LCA help sharpen up the handling? An M140i is one of the contenders to replace the Mini GP in the next year or so, but I've read mixed reviews of what the M140i is like, handling-wise. It seems they can lose their composure when really pushed.
