I decided I could live with the wheels - at least until they needed a refurb. Unlike the roof...DeskJockey wrote: Wed May 06, 2020 10:32 amAnd the wheels.Rich B wrote: Wed May 06, 2020 10:29 am Nutter issues aside, I have to agree with all - sort the roof and it’s cool!
And yeah - seller is firmly wired to a mars bar.

The roof would look better without the cutouts, still not great, but better

It’s explicable: the guy’s a fruitcake and completely deluded about the value of his pride and joy. Apparently he’s had it on eBay before with a Buy It Now price of £10,000.GG. wrote: Wed May 06, 2020 10:53 am Inexplicably worth 4x all the other R8 XXX plates on the DVLA website

Mate’s Lexus-Lotus is back home. The paint looks really good in the sunlight.
A few more years and the interior will be done, and then it’s only another three or four until it’s finished !

Odd colour choice, but still cool!
Re: Your fleet running reports
Is he doing a white roof wrap with a Lotus badge cut-out?
Re: Your fleet running reports
If he isn’t he should, but I suspect he’s too busy fighting off people with Fezzas, Lambos and Paganis hanging off the back end of his trailer in admiration.

That Citroen is horrible in every possible way. I'm happy to drive crap cars but I think you'd have to pay me to take that

Cheers, Harry
Re: Your fleet running reports
Why the fuck do that to the boot??Jobbo wrote: Wed May 06, 2020 11:54 amWe do, but Citroen quirk not some knob end modifying it laterI assume the roof and wheels, along with the boot re-trim, are not as it came out of the factory.
The roof and wheels are also horrendous. That vinyl will be an arse of a job to remove as well.

Re: Your fleet running reports
I gave the Golf a wash today - I tried to do it in direct sun light and remembered quite how shit I am at washing cars - especially dark coloured ones. However, it was countered by the fact of how nice it is to wash a brand new car with no stone chips/no alloy wheel damage/etc...

Re: Your fleet running reports
How much mileage have people been doing? Our total mileage across 3 cars in the last month is 94. 3/4 Yeti, 1/4 Megane, 0 Fabia.
That's all just 4 trips to deliver provisions to parents.
Could maybe have SORNed a couple of them but not to worry.

Re: Your fleet running reports
We're driving much less, but commuting is up as my wife now drives into Kensington (no congestion or parking charges). Probably about half the distance compared to before.

Re: Your fleet running reports
I’ve done about 35 miles in the last 6 weeks, my missus has probably done about 50.
Re: Your fleet running reports
All I've done recently is stuff within a 10 mile radius. The M140i has been spanked at every opportunity as I've gone the long way to/from a few places. The hop up to the MiL's is great as there's a 1 Jct sprint on the A1 with nowhere for Fuzz to sit. The few times I've done it it's been empty and it's too much to resist.
Consequently, the mpg during lock down has been bloody appalling. Drinks like Oliver Reed
Had the chance to stretch its (and my) legs today as I had to go collect some stuff for a client in Leeds and drop it at Doncaster. It's really weird swing everywhere so quiet, especially driving through Leeds.

Post up a vid of that high speed run you did on the autobahn - last year.McSwede wrote: Wed May 06, 2020 8:46 pm All I've done recently is stuff within a 10 mile radius.
