A desperate need for attention mostly.
Coronavirus
Re: Coronavirus
So my niece is out of hospital thankfully. Covid test came back negative and then the specialist told my sister they were still fairly certain she'd had it and that the tests were only 75% accurate.
Re: Coronavirus
Sister in law was showing symptoms (nhs worker) a couple of days ago, went into self isolation, but they didn’t test. Haven’t had an update yet.

Re: Coronavirus
My mate is still in hospital. Got a couple of texts from him yesterday, it’s the first time he’s been well enough for a week. He’s had an up and down week. Out of ICU but still on oxygen. They’re trying to reduce his oxygen but every time they do he gets worse. As soon as he’s off the O2 they’ll send him home to recover. His lungs are pretty fucked in the short term, no idea on prognosis for longer.

Sounds like good news though if he’s out of the ICU.NotoriousREV wrote: ↑Fri Apr 03, 2020 8:32 am My mate is still in hospital. I‘m sure I read that the vast majority of corona virus sufferers won’t suffer any permanent damage to their lungs.
Cheers,
Mike.

Re: Coronavirus
I’ve no idea. He doesn’t remember much of the last few days and his wife hasn’t been allowed in to see him. The hospital hasn’t told her much, but she has a mate who’s a nurse at the same hospital so she’s been finding stuff out for her.

I hope all these measures mean we actually have something to go back to, we are staring down the barrel of a biggest recession/depression, er, ever!
Re: Coronavirus
I was reading about that $2.2tn bailout that Trump signed off recently.
That's 3x the 2008 finance collapse bailout.
It's also 10% of US GDP.

Re: Coronavirus
and it looks like a large amount of it is just going to disappear into corporate bank accounts.
They must be laughing just now. This is exactly what Trump was put into the office to do.
