I once did Sheffield to Newquay in four hours overnight, in a 2.8i Capri long before speed cameras existed

Stupid for posting about it for sure.

I always fancied doing the west to east thing to beat the sun like clarkson did a few years ago

'outrageous example of putting thousands of people's lives at risk'

Would love to see the sort of car crash that would risk thousands of lives. Perhaps if he crashed going so fast that the hydrogen atoms in the battery went turned into a H bomb?

More stupid than their comments section? Hmm.

Seeing that reminds me though that at this time of year JOG doesn't see astronomical twilight, and LE doesn't see night, so even at a sedate pace you'd complete the trip in daylight 8-)

My head hurt too much to get to the comments.

I feel like I’ve read this story, or something very similar on boatshoes quite recently.

i swear it’s intentional, there’s no way the entire world of journalism could so consistently get these details wrong?!

Woozers... that’s cool.

We were in Charlestown at this time of year and there was definitely night time but then again, weather was shite, cloudy etc

A clear still night in Cornwall at this time of year would be awesome... shame it’s never happened in a thousand years..

Yup, it's true. Mid June, it just doesn't get much past dusk oop faaaar north. Even did an allnighter out and about with some mates. Weirdly knackering, not just because you're up all night, but because your body doesn't think it's time to go to sleep.

I very much doubt that it's intentional given the "exemplary" journalistic standards to which that particular rag adheres. But yes, it is teeth-grindingly annoying, isn't it.

It's obvious guys, two cylinders point up in a V shape and two point down in an A shape. Audi have been working on it for a while, it symbolises the synergetic relationship between VW and Audi. I can't believe no one else has heard of it.

It's 'cos 8 is now busy doing other things, like "alright m8?", "see you l8r"etc.

In order that the number 8 isnt worn out prematurely, A has had to raise its game and step in as a numeric substitute. Yo.
