Yeah, it's about as stupid and impractical as you can get here but I think it's great.
Also it might be the last proper ladder chassis & solid axle off roader now that the Defender and G-Wagen have been updated. That's probably important .

Just what every growing boy needs: a car that’s terrible on road and compromised off road.

I'll need the axles for when I put 40s on it and go rock crawling.

Nah I was watching dirt every day this morning and they were working on one. Which is what put them in my mind again .
They reckoned that the axle shafts are beefed up compared to what you normally get in a 40.
TBH I wouldn’t actually do that anyway. Off road cars with giant tyres look dumb here and you don’t really need them.

Valid, I don’t need a giant pick up in the first place. Dana 60s all round and 40s it is. Maybe stick a Cummins or an LS in it while I’m there .
Oh no wait, there’s already someone doing Hellcat conversions.

Re: CTIIRWOIWAHO
There’s a ‘57 Chevy Handyman estate for sale on one of the UK American car Facebook group pages that I’m desperate to own. MrsREV hates it but I want it so much. Only £13k with a rebuilt 283 and Muncie 4 speed, lowered in wide steelies.

I’m not that big on the 57, although the handyman and nomad is better and that does sound like a nice set up.
I quite like when people do pro stock 57s and stick a wing between the fins as well. It just looks cool.

Yeah, I’m normally a ‘55 guy all the way. Ideally I want a 210 2-door sedan (ie not the pillarless one).
But damn I love this thing.

I do like that. Love cars with original paint and black steelies.
Reminds me a bit of the wagon that Riche Crampton and those Swedish guys built for drag week. The one with the Funny Car engine and really trick fuel system. Although looking at the pictures, theirs was a four door.

Re: CTIIRWOIWAHO
If it was mine, I’d go wider on the rears and go with a 383 with 6-71 blower up front, decent suspension kit and that would be it done.

Re: CTIIRWOIWAHO
as much as I like a big blower I’d be tempted to keep that N/A or maybe a turbo. Just so I could keep it looking fairly low key.
