And he's done it! Its amazing what all these marginal gains can do when you're at that elite level, but also just how many considerations you need to put in place to be able to shave off those vital seconds and effectively get around the limitations of the human body.
Cheers,
Mike.

It’s easy. Just run 100m in 17 seconds and repeat another 419 times.

Unbelievable really.
I don’t enjoy running on treadmills, but when I do.... 13mph is bloody fast. Averaging more that for 2 hrs is mind bending.

Loved watching that. An amazing team effort as well as the individual one. Shout out to the driver of the car with the laser guidance coming off the back of it. I assume that was an e-Tron. Great support from the crowd.
Left over crest; tightens.
Re: Sub 2 hour Marathon...
So, how many factors were they able to influence on the day to get that time?
They only ran in perfect weather conditions. On a pancake flat, lapped course with very few bends. Multiple pace setters who also allowed the runner to be drafted all the way. Plus the drafting from the car. The new Nike shoes are obviously a big part of it. A crowd helps too. The laser guidance to assist the pace setters.
