The first account is clean. It’s the money being stolen from the clean account that is being laundered.

That distances Scrote A from the robbery element, but then Scrote A then has no money... and then Scrote B eventually gets investigated for large amounts of cash deposits being paid into his account with no explanation for how it was made.NotoriousREV wrote: ↑Sun Oct 06, 2019 12:59 pmWhen they use other clean accounts to filter the money through, yes, it’s money laundering.
Scrote A takes cash out of an account at an ATM, which will be captured on cctv. He passes the cash to Scrote B somewhere he can’t be seen. Scrote B pays money into a different clean account. The money can’t be linked between the 2 scrotes and is therefore now laundered.
surely the point of laundering is to give a legitimate origin to the money?

It’s not Scrote Bs account. It’s just another account they control. Imagine you have some confused old duck who’s been controlled. The police interview them, but they don’t get a clear answer on anything, or they’ve been given a story by the gang that they repeat. Or, more likely, the second account is never discovered because there’s no obvious criminal link to it. Everyone gets a cut (or doesn’t get their legs broken) for their part in the chain.Rich B wrote: ↑Sun Oct 06, 2019 1:22 pmThat distances Scrote A from the robbery element, but then Scrote A then has no money... and then Scrote B eventually gets investigated for large amounts of cash deposits being paid into his account with no explanation for how it was made.NotoriousREV wrote: ↑Sun Oct 06, 2019 12:59 pmWhen they use other clean accounts to filter the money through, yes, it’s money laundering.

This is why banks have recently stopped you paying cash into someone else’s account except by bank transfer. It was a huge problem for the police so they got the banking rules changed.

Re: Cash machine blunders
Cheers Dave!
I remember being told about this for the first time and it’s horrendous what goes on with some people’s money.
I think most people haven’t picked up on the laundering bit because a significant chunk of the money the criminals are taking is coming directly from the state via welfare payments, the more intelligent criminals will manipulate a vulnerable person to increase the amount of money the state pays into their account before creaming it off the top. Therefore it’s laundering because it’s acquiring money from the state via false pretences and the cash doesn’t even remain with the intended recipient.
The pratting around at cash points disconnects these folk from the source of cash.
It really was ‘easy’ money being made by gangs.

Still don't get it, but then I'm a thick cunt apparently. Thanks Dave, not been insulted by you in a while now.

Dry ‘em. It seems you’re quite happy dishing it out, but not happy being on the receiving end.

I try to steer clear of the actual name calling that you resort to with surprisingly little 'provocation' (wasn't even trying to provoke you in this case) - admittedly not always successfully. Anyway - whatever.

Did you read the newspaper articles Dave posted?

Yes, I did and fully understand the concept of cuckooing now, something I was unaware of previously and frankly a new low in terms of human behaviour. Why?

You don’t think trying to make me look ridiculous by saying I’m “triggered” when sharing my opinion, or that I’m “invested” in the thread because I don’t have a job is an insult? You don’t think that’s provocative? Do you really not see that saying those things to someone is going to elicit a reaction of some sort? Again, I’m struggling to choose between stupid and naive.

Re: Cash machine blunders
Yep I see all that. It wasn't meant to upset you, surely you know my sense of humour by now.
Anyway - I'm out.
Except to say you've already chosen stupid over naive as you didn't call me a naive cunt.

This place gets closer and closer to Pistonheads.
Can we all get back to the old days where you either love or hate V-Tec and then spread some love
Also we need Mick to Focus Broccers attention.
Dave!

Don't bring me into Dave! It's these squabbling children who have ruined my thread .
