Re: DN22 drama
Read it this morning. Didn't realise it was the same chap who's been touting the 500k miles Picasso around. You'd kind have thought they'd have insurance as a hired pro driver. Not sure if there was an agreement about damage up front, but then you would be thinking about barriers and body panels, not about someone selecting the wrong gear. As stated, sounds like the lack of apology and blaming the car was what annoyed him the most (well, apart from the car being now broken).

Did you just call Nathan a cunt?drcarlos wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2019 4:51 pmMaybe he doesn't and is hoping to get something written on twitter that he can later use as admission of guilt in a claim of some description. He's a car dealer after all.NotoriousREV wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2019 4:34 pmA car going pop whilst you’re driving it is unfortunate. Shifting into 3rd instead of 5th and over-revving the ever-loving shit out of it is the action of a ham-fisted fuck nugget. A professional being paid to drive the car based on his extensive experience should have some sort of professional indemnity cover, right? Or some sort of contract or service agreement setting out liability and all that shiz?

Hang on. 'Professional driver selects wrong gear and blows engine' is a familiar story isn't it? And it nearly bankrupted the driver in court?

So did any of you shed a tear? He seems quite full of himself!
How about not having a sig at all?

Oops sorry Nathan (thought you just bought and sold the odd one! I'll add that the guy who sold me the new truck was a decent chap, guess I'm still smarting after the Navara a bit!NotoriousREV wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2019 5:13 pmDid you just call Nathan a cunt?drcarlos wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2019 4:51 pmMaybe he doesn't and is hoping to get something written on twitter that he can later use as admission of guilt in a claim of some description. No, cos I dont know this guy, but Mark Hales - as Dep Editor of Fast Lane magazine - was pretty close to a hero of mine during my formative years. He could write, and his contemporaries would moan about how annoyingly good a driver he was.
Re: DN22 drama
Haven't read the Twitter but even professionals makes mistakes. Also, asking a professional driver to drive your car, they'll assume the car is fit for purpose and drive accordingly I would suggest.
When Evo tested my ITR they caned it so hard it needed nearly a litre of oil at the end of the day. Which is about the amount I'd add during a full track day.. and this was just driving round Wales

If you ever find yourself on track with your own manual car with Max Verstappen don’t offer him to drive it either as he can’t drive manual.

Doesn't matter. They should have made sure their car was able to withstand use by a professional racing driverNotoriousREV wrote: ↑Wed Oct 02, 2019 9:12 amThe professional driver stuck it in 3rd instead of 5th...

I've been called worse.
Professional drivers still make mistakes, even if this was a pretty amateur one
