FTAO of Dr Alex

Post by Coaster1 »

That was Barry, my friends (S2000) and me on A77. Small world!

You probably thought at first who’s that Porsche wanker chasing you and flashing the lights. :D

We’re on our way to Galloway Forest Park. Where were you going?

I thought it was strange seeing a red 996 GT3 around here, as I've never seen one before, then I saw you and thought it can't be Kin until you flashed me :D . The GT3 is lovely mate, it really stands out and look miles better in real life than pictures.

I live in Kilmarnock, so I travel up and down the M77 almost everyday for work etc. I'm surprised you recognised my plate!

I saw the red M235i and then clocked the private plate with the ‘first name’ & surname and put the two and two together. :D JL wouldn’t have got it.

Car looking tidy 8-)

We had pretty good weather throughout; slightly less traffic on Saturday than last year. Lecht road was epic; we had a pretty clean run at the secret road too 8-)

Great few days all told, weather was very kind to us considering the forecast given beforehand. No car issues for me either, which was nice. Everyday had it's own great roads/scenery, and Galloway forest is an excellent playground (low traffic, fun roads). Having been serenaded by an S2000 and GT3 all week I feel I need more aural delight from my car (or a better car). I say that after every car related fun time though..

Pics from our group, mainly taken by Barry and my mates......

Started off my trip visiting my mate in the NE. He bought a GT3 earlier this year but this was the first time we got our cars together.

Then to Falkirk for our hotel. Somebody left this note on my car :D
Image

Then our usual route through Cairngorms; weather was superb and the traffic was pretty good for a Saturday.

On our way to Loch Ness

More good weather the next day; heading N/NW

French Top Gear crew were staying at the same hotel as us.

Next day heading SW/S with a detour to the s***** road where we had a really good run. We also visited the Skyfall route.

Final day to Galloway

Then a track day at Oulton Park; also met with Rev and his Hartech 996
Image

Ended up doing 2065 miles for the whole trip. Barry’s car went over 100k miles too during the trip so both are now worthless. :)

Good times.

What a load of shit. Why don't you guys go fishing or something instead?

Oh - and the GT3 all covered in crap after being used as intended made my naughty parts tingle a little bit. So much better than some spunk-glazed garage queen 8-)

Right, that’s enough. Fake pictures. Fake clear skies. All the caravans, HGVs and mahoosive potholes photoshopped out. You don’t show any of the Midgie attacks.

Fake.

Fake.

Fake.

Nothing real to see here. Move along. Don’t bother visiting.
