I should really re-do the Exige too as I suspect it’ll dip into the high 4s now.
If you really wanted to time the Exige you would have done it by now.
Erm.

Turns out either the car was going uphill in 4th gear the last time the Exige was timed or the 2Bular system really does up the horsepower.

Couple of runs - first was 4.42, which looks like it was a little bit trigger happy timing wise. Second seems more representative at 4.65, so why don’t we go with that.

Good to see confirmation of arse-dyno results. 8-)

Thar is rather rapid

Should probably do mine again....

That's insanely quick  exhaust mods only?

I timed the Evora this afternoon. I can genuinely say "it doesn't suit my gearing" and goes to show how long the gearing is on the standard box.

2nd tops out at 85, but 3rds too long; took around 10 seconds for the 60-100 dash  as you're only at 3.5k at 60.

I don't think I'll bother adding it to the table.

That was why I started this whole thing all those years back - I was interested to see how gearing, turbo lag, manual vs auto played out in the reals. Why I was interested in anyone's guess - nothing to do at work probably

2bular manifolds, HJS 200CEL Sports Cat, 2Bular Road back box and a carbon intake off of the Exige Cup R.

All in, it’s supposed to be knocking on 390bhp. Would quite like to get it on a rolling road at some point to see if that’s true, but it definitely feels good for that level of power.

Long Ratio box for the something.

I assume 10s was lugging in 3rd? Starting in 2nd has to yield a better result even if it includes a shift....

The rules are on page 1, doesn't have to be in a single gear, and if second goes all the way to 85 then it definitely needs to start in second and include a gear change.

2. Any gear you like, and / or any mode if you're a homosexual and have a car with an automatic gearbox device. Again this was to see how much time a gearchange would take, and whether it's a better idea to do it one gear higher to not have to change.

3. If your time is not to your liking, please moan like a retarded teenage girl getting her first period about how it doesn't suit your gearing, how I cheated despite filming it, and constantly, like CONSTANTLY, using the phrase 62-98mph as my car was in kph to try and make yourself feel better about your car being slow and your life being shit.

3 is the most important.

It was lugging in 3rd. Obviously being a bloke I've never read past the "do 60-100" bit properly...and it was a long time ago, and it was back on the 1st page...and...

I shall try again.

Alternatively, I'll go with option 3, and also demand this should be a 30-70 test instead, which is more in line with my gearing.

In all the excitement with the Exige, I forgot to do the Golf.

Added Maurice's times although I don't know the exact details so either quote and change it yourself or tell me what they are 😂

Mito did 14.5, pretty much exactly the same as the compact as expected. Could do with a few more runs to play with the gears and gearchange point. It's pretty torquey so might be better all in 4th without a gear change.
