Hot Rod Drag Week is on again. I've not had a chance to watch any of it yet but I know that Blasphemi ran an 8.5 yesterday and some of the more pro stock stuff were edging towards the 5s at test and tune.

Ben and the skid factory guys are back with the Cresta and maybe a Barra powered Fox Mustang as well?

Yep looks like it doesn't it, mechanically very similar to the Cresta because why not.

Great to see Blasphemi running quick but also breaking itself, as is tradition.

Aye, I saw they'd thrown a belt on Insta.

They're basically running it in just now tbf, they only managed to get a dyno tune into it on the way to the test and tune day .

Yeah I saw the video of the mock up build but I don't know if they actually got it done when they got to the US.

I bet the whole idea came about because no one wanted to try and sit around the roll cage in the Cresta this year.

I must confess to admiring their dedication when I watched the original Cresta vs Dragweek. The words "fuck" and "that" were often combined to make a whole sentence :D

It ate the alternator first, which they fixed at the track, then it threw a belt on the road.

I saw the guys with that Chevelle had scalped the Swedish Ascona that crashed .

Crash was a shame though, that car had ran in the low 6s at 230ish on the first day.

On the second clip, 10.40 or so in, the funny car (is that right?) that had the terrible start, then got it together and still ran 6s - farkinell!!

Watched a fair amount of the first day's stream last night.

I was laughing at the stories of bewildered pensioners getting chased by hot rodders for their Ford Fairmonts .

The Australians must've kept the Barra Mustang super quiet, when it rolled in for it's first pass Freiburger and Brian Lohnes thought it was running a JZ.

Worth a watch if you like the sound of VTEC in the morning, but if you can bear it till 11minutes in you'll see some decent driving

Dirt Every Day put a Lingenfelter LS in their off road Winnebago then took it to LS Fest and donutted it until it fell over .

You can only get the episode on the Motortrend app though :(.
