Who else was hoping for that Speedo to tick over to 500kph
Re: Chiron LT 304.77mph!
Impressive and utterly pointless - in roughly equal measure.

Until enough people start calling Bugatti offering 8 figure cheques that is .
Looks better with the longer deck. Still doesn't really float my boat though.
An absolute unit
Re: Chiron LT 304.77mph!
Oh aye, there's bound to be a Super Sport or summat off the back of it. While they've said they're stopping at 300mph it seems a little odd they haven't set that boundary at 500km/h (as mentioned by Rob Yob). Maybe it'll be capable of 500km/h but limited to 300mph?
Re: Chiron LT 304.77mph!
They’ll leave that for the next model. If my maths is right they should be able to make a final ICE successor before the ban.
How about not having a sig at all?

Reading the boatshoes interview it does seem unlikely they will bother with a production version. Doesn’t sound like a Veyron or normal Chiron where you can pay to do a VMAX run quite safely

Re: Chiron LT 304.77mph!
I do wonder how many people actually do that, and how many people just buy the car to say they have 'the fastest car in the world' then just pootle around the city centre in it?

It seems like there was a production version in the offing all along. What a surprise.
Looks wonderful.

Surprised Mito...
I love the idea for this, but it’d be in the “I’ve got £50million to buy cars with, what have I missed” category for me.

Yep. The headline feature of it (going 300 mph) sounds like it’s unattainable unless you’re a Bugatti test driver. Further to this the car pictured above is stripped and caged which I imagine the production version won’t be. So you probably won’t be allowed to do 300+ as it’s too dangerous without a cage and the car will be heavier making it too risky for the tyres?/ unable to hit 300 mph on the length of track VW own.
Also I simply can’t believe that doing 2 high speed runs would result in that much bug splatter. I’ve done 2000 miles since washing my car driving through the countryside and it ain’t that bad

No roll cage or race seat and standard ride height and yours for only £4.2 million

Re: Chiron LT 304.77mph!
On most of these production record attempt cars they usually remove weight to offset the weight gained from fitting the cage so overall weights tend to be pretty similar, although doesn't account for the shell stiffening and extra confidence the driver has knowing they're more likely to survive if they bin it!
