The original Veyron was one of those cars that I couldn’t have been less interested in when it was announced, but when I saw it, it totally changed my view about Bugatti’s intentions. Loving the Chiron and the different limited run/one-off editions they’ve been doing.
They’ve pretty much smashed that record then, 15mph or so increase isn’t exactly a marginal gain is it?

I don't get what record they're claiming here, it's not a production car and never will be, sure there will be models inspired by it but they won't be able to come closer to the top speed. It's like setting a record in a LMP car tuned for top end, so what?

I think the modified road legal record is just over 300mph in a tuned Ford GT.
