Just come in from the shops and Alfie has come all happy to see us wagging his tail like crazy and caught the top of it on the radiator at full wag when the end is travelling at somewhere near to the speed of sound. As you can imaging it’s bust open and started to bleed, but he didn't stop wagging, flicking blood in every direction. He’s fine, but my place now looks like a serial killer crime scene......

He only told me as he left that it’s normal for him to not sleep at night and wake up at 6am 😤
I’m going to be cranky as hell by the time he gets collected again. Also he’s so small that I’m afraid of accidentally crushing him. My dog must weigh 4 times as much!

It looks like your dog is up for play, might get the visitor (unusually) tired and he'll sleep well.

Problem with the new dog is that he goes to sleep at 7-8pm which I reckon is why he wakes up so early. I’ve tried to get him to play in an attempt to push his sleep cycle back but he gets in a right pissy mood, growls and goes back to sleep! And now my dogs gone to sleep next to him and he tends to stay up till midnight. If my dog picks up these bad habits I won’t be happy!

Meet Mia. She’s joining us from Thursday.

Looks big for 8wk old? Aren’t these about 10-12kg fully grown, or am I getting mixed up?

That photo does make her look quite big, the camera sometimes distorts the perspective. You’re right about c. 10kg when grown. We’re collecting her this afternoon so I’ll be able to do better pics tonight.

Here’s a pic of her dad. She should look similar when she’s a grownup.
