I detest musicals, but the title track of Grease is epic.

I never knew it had an Elton John number in it, but it is exactly the sort of film that would have, if that tells you all you need to know Dinny.
You didn’t know that the film famously scored by Tim Rice & Elton John had an Elton John song in it?
No, 'cos I didn't know it was scored by TIm Rice & Elton John  Ignorance is bliss

And that Elton John had a best selling album with music inspired by it?
Just to be clear - I don't like or listen to Elton John either. Hence how would I know?

The first (IIRC) of the modern Disney films with the godawful, vomit-inducing musical score.
Apart from -deep breath-; Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Lady and the Tramp, Sleeping Beauty, 101 Greyhounds, Jungle Book, Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin AND Nightmare before Christmas.

IIRC.

I like musicals. ;)

Yeah, and they cunningly put Olivia Newton-John in those tight trousers at the end so you had something to look forward to. Not a bad film.

5 seconds exposure to anything to do with it has me considering self harm.

I'm with you on that one. Unfortunately it's one of my wife's favourite films :(

There are only two musicals I can think of which I actually really like -

Blues Brothers - largely because it's just utterly awesome on all levels, but crucially the music is proper.
Little Shop of Horrors - cos it's got two total nutters in it

MrsREV generally hates musicals too, thankfully, but she does like Dirty Dancing and Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat.

Sweeney Todd with Johnny Depp is pretty epic as well. But then I'm a Burton fanboy so it might be shite, who knows.

I quite like a musical.

Rocky Horror Picture Show and Hedwig and the angry inch are probably my favourites.
An absolute unit

Grease 2 is either in the so bad it's "cut your eyes out" bad or so bad it's brilliant.

The first, without question.
