Tesla Model 3
Re: Tesla Model 3
Given the near zero BIK charge and 100% writing down allowance for Ltd companies they are really attractive financially.
The performance of the Performance model looks incredible

Or just the chap who owns a multi-city version of one of those companies?
Re: Tesla Model 3
or maybe somewhere in the middle. I have a mate who has a small mortgage advising company, he has a XC90 T8 and a Leaf covered by this.ShockDiamonds wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 12:50 pmWindow cleaners? Brick layers? Gardeners? Delivery drivers? Tutors? Dog walkers? Taxi drivers?

Other than the blancmange mould styling what's not to like Mark ?

The interiors are appalling. Far too austere, minimalist and not welcoming on a cold morning. And 'thin'. And for some reason, whenever I have luggage in the front of a Tesla taxi in the US it's always frozen when I get to my hotel. And they rattle something chronic inside as they age. And the space is evidently all in the wrong place - they seem quite narrow but there's loads of legroom. To me, it's a device, not a car, which I know sounds weird. I could never 'love' a Tesla.

Not quite a car for accountants - we're too tight to buy one
But I have just run the numbers for a client who is a dentist and I believe he's just put in an order for the new Long-range one.
Re: Tesla Model 3
I thought the BiK rates had been completely FUBAR'd for EVs for a few years now. They went from 0% to 15% just as the deals on Tesla S' were starting to look enticing. However I've read that the'll be back down to 2% as of April next year?mikeyb wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 2:04 pmNot quite a car for accountants - we're too tight to buy one

Then 0% the year after.

Re: Tesla Model 3
Roadholding, no. But performance for me is more than only acceleration. It’s blipping at the lights. It’s a spike of revs on a downshift, pops and crackles on the overrun. It’s just not my thing. Maybe one day it will have to be, but until then...Carlos wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 4:42 pmBut no issues with performance or dynamics ?ShockDiamonds wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 1:26 pmThe interiors are appalling. I don’t think a 520d does any of those things either. Ok you can rev it but it won’t sound nice
How about not having a sig at all?

Sports Plus will allow it. But not all the time, which has always annoyed. Sometimes it leaves the engine running in order to burn off the fuel, also apparently to avoid dumping it into the sump!

Paying £9k to get out of it still stings then??ShockDiamonds wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 6:32 pmThat was two years ago dickhead. I’ve done 30k in a Porsche since then whilst you’ve been shagging your dog. Even a hybrid Porsche sounds better than a 520d.
Is it 30k in your Porsche or spread across yours and a series of loaners??

Oh probably 40k including loaners. Been at OPCs for around five months in total. Pretty poor really.McSwede wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 7:04 pmPaying £9k to get out of it still stings then??ShockDiamonds wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 6:32 pmThat was two years ago dickhead.
