I disagree, I think they have no chemistry. It only seems to work when Chris is there, because otherwise they're just too similar i.e. playing up to the daft northern monkeys stereotype.

Chris didn’t go because of a family bereavement apparently.

Fair enough. So it wasn't an editorial decision anyway. I wonder what car he had lined up.

Sounds like next week is the last one of this run.

Announcer on the credits said it concludes next week after the trailer.

Just caught up with the last two. It's ok, some bits made me laugh more than Clarkson et al ever did (I didn't find much of what they did funny TBH). There was a lot of boredom in between the laughs though, and I fell asleep towards the end of the last one.

I still believe the MLB/CH versions found the best balance (and they had the best chemistry) the show has had since a long time before and up to now. If they had just dropped RR and all the other hanger-oners and went on road trips in interesting stuff I'd have been totally happy. Anyway, not to be, I'll still keep watching.

Which is what Grand Tour is doing from the sounds of it.
The Evo forum really is a shadow of its former self. I remember when the internet was for the elite and now they seem to let any spastic on

Same, apart from a few stand-outs.

I don’t think the trips ever really lived up to the first few specials - They Just then tried to repeat them with the same gags. Vietnam was probably the best imo.

They just feel so contrived. Which is fine if you are in the mood. I'm just usually not.

Ooh the map didnt show that this road went through the crocodile park!

Ooh lets hope a wheel doesnt fall off. Holy shit my wheel fell off!

Oops i ran into the back of your car.

Oops i ran into the back of your car again.

Oops my trousers fell off.

Oops my trousers fell off when I ran into the back of your car again.

Ooh Matron.

Etc.

Well proper car reviews would be great, but my logic is that they're simply not going to make it into the show with the level of content we need to be satisfied. At least the road trips seem to be within the ethos of the current show.

Also, not the kind of road trips that involve Reliant Robins or some other shit that they smash up... proper cars.

There was one with CH/MLB, I think MLB was on a motorbike. That's the kind of thing I'm thinking.

Cracking episode. Short series but I think the three of them work, nice to hear the next series starts again this year and not in 18 months time 8-)

I think they're just referring to the Christmas special...
