no, I’m guessing it’s a push for the online content.

Re: Top Gear
No, which I thought was weird. Was really looking forward to Stig in the Tesla last week and nothing came of it.
This group have a little chemistry but of the three of them I’m only convinced that Chris Harris knows anything about cars. Hence he seems to be doing all the tests. The other two are just there to bully him in return, as far as I can tell.
Re: Top Gear
Best part of the show relegated to teh tubez.
I am not sure where the roof went.

He’s really having to fight that.
It’s such a generic looking supercar though and with that engine it does nothing for me. The chassis could tickle my balls but I’d prefer it to have an actual engine.

How about not having a sig at all?
Re: Top Gear
Flintoff is a bullying cunt, isn't he?
Re: Top Gear
Should we all complain to OFCOM about the bullying? Love Island seems to get thousands of complaints about a bit of boyfriend-stealing so it'd even things up.

Re: Top Gear
+1. The show itself was pretty good I thought (FF'd the interview bollocks as normal) but the Flintoff/Harris thing stands out for all the wrong reasons. Creates discussion though, which is (sadly) probably the point.
Re: Top Gear
Is Flintoff a cunt or merely an actor? It’s scripted bullying. Don’t hate the player, hate the game etc. Or just tell the script editor that they’re a cunt for consistently coming up with shit content...

Re: Top Gear
Like I said, it's probably the point. Boils down to the people who make up this stuff taking the view that you cannot allow three people to just 'get on'.
Re: Top Gear
I only scan watched it this week whilst channel hopping so haven’t seen what you are referring to. I thought Harris had taken the persona of presenter most likely to be ripped into for being short / balding / not a celeb. Cos must be laddish banter for the audience.
And I am still annoyed they’ve dropped the stig laps - this highlights how far the general viewing public are clearly NCGs.

Re: Top Gear
I don't believe that all that goes on is scripted. Harris looks to surprised by some of it, and I can't believe he's really happy by what goes on.

Re: Top Gear
He's taken the Clarkson role as he used to give Hammond and May massive amounts of shit, Flintoff does give Paddy some crap but seems to get on Harris' case a lot more. The problem is Clarkson didn't give the other 2 shit in the beginning it wasn't until they were a few seasons in the banter started. By then we knew they were good friends so it was just banter. Flintoff has just kicked off from the start some just comes across as a massive tosser. I think Harris is well like by the car community so he needs to tome this down massively or there will be a backlash.
Re: Top Gear
Picking Harris up and locking him in the hearse boot, and smashing the watermelon on his head, were the two things that stood out for me. Crossed the line to simple bullying, like the thick kid at school getting a bit boisterous.
Re: Top Gear
I'm not sure it's Scripted Banter - Flinthoff treats Jack Whitehall in the exact same manner on "A League of their Own". and it's not even decent banter- it's basic schoolyard stuff. On the recent RoadTrip series it was "Pulling the other person's shorts and Underwear down in public".
You have to remind yourself he's 41 and married with 3 kids.

Re: Top Gear
Was Flintoff getting a clout from the latch funny (and/or intentional) or not? He did take it badly...
Aaanyway, the hearse didn't sound bad with the V8 in it

Re: Top Gear
Although there were plenty of lol moments, it did seem to stray worryingly close to bullying on a couple of occasions.
I suppose we don't know how well they really get on, or what order the series was filmed in, but there were a couple of moments I thougtht were a bit much
