Manchester airport

Post by Broccers »

Not a moan.

Anyone driven there recently from the East or South?

Was absolutely fucking noseybonkers.

The new roads are amazing. Can do a ton down em for miles.

I've missed flights before getting stuck in Glossop.

Anyway that and security are top notch.

Jetparks3 not so hot, avoid it. 30 mins to find a space.

3 quid to drop off your fam isn't so good either πŸ˜‚πŸ˜ŽπŸ’

The pick up/drop off situation is a fucking shambles. Approaching from the West, if you’re after T3 they send you on a loop round the outside of the airport and back in along a road that means you can’t enter the Pick Up car park because of the angle of entry and you have to loop round a roundabout at at the end of the road and back up. Just follow the signs for T1 until you’re in the airport, then follow the signs for T3. Saves about 10 minutes of dicking about.

They have completed the stretch we use. It's brilliant now. Usually horrendous.

It’s like when my wife has been working from home and hasn’t spoken to anyone all day. I walk through the door and she blurts our about 10 conversations in one!

Not having to go through Wilmslow is great for us. I suppose the disruption around and about is still real tho.

In rush hour it's still quicker to get to Macc via Wilmslow from the west side of S Manc. All thanks to what the airport gets up to. But they get away with. Council owned you see...
