RR Velar roadster

Post by Rich B »

I quite like it - seems far more cohesive a design compared for the awful convertible evoque...

That bonnet finish is a £1700 option. Probably.

I'm guessing cut off by the emergency services rather than being the direct result of a crash. Unless they were Smokey and the Bandit.

or it could be a description of what happened.

Hint, it doesn’t involve the emergency services cutting the roof off!

Do the emergency services always scrape the bonnet that way when they cut the roof off?

They could have been driving along the top deck of the transporter Rich. Open your mind man.

I bet £1 that the emergency service did remove the roof. From the carriageway.

I guess we'll just never know how that happened. Chalk it up to one of life's unsolveables.

Why do newspapers struggle so badly with the names of cars?

From Manchester evening news:

“Two vehicles, on the top deck were badly damaged, including a red vehicle believed to be a new Range Rover Velar worth at least £40,000 which officers joked on Twitter had now become a “none factory build convertible...

....The roof of the Evoque flew off and hit a breakdown recovery truck driving behind it, shattering its windscreen and leaving the driver shaken.“

It's the MEN. They were part of GMG and are now owned by Trinity Mirror. That probably tells you all you need to know about the quality of reporting.

I've never known a newspaper to report anything in a quality manner.
